The Bakehouse Rhayader, a real gem!

Beautifully decorated and furnished - everything you could need for a lovely weekend away. Comfortable throughout and central to everything the town of Rhayader has to offer.

A few hiccups with Internet access (*for Netflix in the evenings) but soon resolved.

good location for village and Elan Valley. Nicely furnished.

there are 2 properties and would have been good to know which property to access. Also no on site parking and I did specifically filter on properties with parking.

the TV. Not satellite/aerial/cable. No basic channels except via iplayer. No ITV/Channel 4/Channel 5 etc. Probably more suitable for younger clientele. Also no instructions on how to use the remote. Trial and error.

Internet TV couldn’t be tuned to normal terrestrial stations (free view) to catch up with ITV news and the like (not that we watched much).

Good location for visiting Elan Valley. Nice and close to shops and pubs. Very clean, good facilities and everything you could need in the kitchen. Comfortable and plenty of space for 4 adults and a dog.

Was very hot in the lounge, even with the fan on. Had to have blinds shut and windows open which then meant traffic noise.

Fantastic apartment in a brilliant location

It was clean, well equipped, modern, in a great location and it was easy to get access to with the key coded door. It felt very secure and well managed, we had welcome gifts and lots of info in the welcome pack. The beds were comfy, the shower was decent and there were lots of fans available for a hot summers day.

Parking was the only inconvenience for us. It wasn't possible to park particularly close to the property and spaces weren't guaranteed around the corner in the free public carpark. But, we made do and it didn't spoil anything. A map or photo before arrival showing where parking is available would be very helpful.

Everything was clean and tidy. Provided coffee and tea for the stay. Very clear communications before arrival. It was in a lovely location with plenty of walks and pubs nearby.

Exceptional

We booked this cottage for over the Christmas period, it was our 1st Christmas holiday away. The Cottage is beautiful and so was the location, right near shops and for nice walks. The cottage itself was clean, spacious, and everything you need. The hosts were great and popped in during our stay to set up the hot tub, and even dropped off some beers and fizzy as a gift which was a lovely touch. Would 100% recommend and will return at some point as we loved it so much

Couldn’t fault the property it’s spot on! Only thing people should be aware of is the tit that owns the cafe down in the car park! He’s not a nice person and would t recommend anybody to good there.
