A warm, cozy and welcoming property. Fantastic location in a lovely village. All modcons available and everything practical that could have been needed was provided. Beautiful garden and lots of spaces to dry coats and boots in between walks.
Sadly the hosts were not there to greet us. A key hadn’t been left nor instructions, and the hosts phone went to answerphone. We went door to door to try and find assistance. Thankfully the hosts daughter was home and lived close by and was able then to provide a key.
Instructions or advice to do this on the booking notes would have been helpful.
The beds were also very and uncomfortable.

Good location & convenient for walking to eat out in the evening.
A couple of minor issues - The duvet in the top bedroom needs replacing & loo seat didn’t fit very well.

Great location lots of places to eat and drink within walking distance. Near to Red Kite feeding centre which was an amazing experience. Cottage has everything you need for a short stay.
Nothing serious but bathroom needs a better lock on the door and a new shower head holder.

Great property, lovely location, clean and tidy!
Only tip we'd give is to provide more toilet paper. We had a change over of staff mid week and both teams reported that the toilet roll was limited or completely finished by the end of their stay

We are a group of motorcycling friends who love touring on Wales. This was our forth year we have used Delfryn Cottage.is very well suited for touring, facilities are good safe parking off road for our Bikes. We eat our evening meals at the Elan Hotel in the evenings. Excellent place to stay. Would definitely recommend it.
There was nothing we did not like it was in our opinion the perfect place to stay.

It’s located central to many attractions. Accommodation was comfortable and very clean.
Stairs to the first and second floors were bit steep to us except for our 14 year old. But, we still loved the cottage!

Good location
No lock on bathroom. Top bedroom smells of damp carpet. Facilities merely adequate.

Excellent location, very close to the Main Street. Lovely enclosed garden which was good for our dog and not overlooked so we could enjoy a peaceful morning cuppa. Very clean and everything you could need in the cottage. Lots of info on what to do in the area. Smart TV great, together with card games and dominoes. Massive plus that there was an en suite in the attic room, particularly as the cottage sleeps 6. Welcoming and accommodating host.
Not necessarily something that could be better but something to be aware of; the stairs to the attic room are quite narrow and steep and you need to be aware of the beams when you in the room! The attic room mattress is also very firm!

Loved the location for exploring mid Wales, the lovely garden, convenient shops and restaurants within walking distance, helpful host, red kite viewing.
Stairs a little steep for my elderly mother (but she managed ok).

Stayed in Delfryn Cottage for 3 nights with our 2 young children. Ideal location to explore the Elan Valley. There is a small park close to the cottage which was handy to entertain our 3 year old. The cottage was exceptionally clean as facilities as described on ghe webiste. We had no problems finding a space to park the car on fhe street opposite the house. Would recommend for a short break and would definitely stay again.
