Once Upon a Tide is a pleasant 2 bedroom self catering, first-floor holiday apartment only a few steps away from the white sandy beaches of Exmouth.
Located on a very popular residential street with views of the sea from your dining table, the town is also just a 5 minute walk away.
Exmouth’s stunning marina is around the corner where you can take boat trips along the Jurassic coast or to Topsham, Starcross or the River Exe floating cafe. For dining, The Grove, The Beach and The Point are all within 2 minutes’ walk and the popular Rock Fish restaurant has recently opened at the end of the road.
For those people that wish to travel with the whole family (furry ones too!) dogs are welcomed too (for a small additional fee). Exmouth is incredibly dog friendly and a large number of the pubs and restaurants are happy to allow dogs, as is the beach area that is closest to the property!
Once Upon A Tide comprises of an entrance hall leading off to a living room with two sofas (one doubles as a 4’sofa-bed for occasional use) and a dining table plus a TV with freeview and WiFi available, a double bedroom with wardrobe and a second bedroom with bunk beds and additional trundle if needed. There is a modern shower room and separate WC with hand-basin. The modern kitchen with oven, fridge-freezer and washing machine leads to a small area by the kitchen rear door where you can catch the last of the sun in the evening (there is access down the staircase to refuse area and rear gate). There is also a garage that comes with the property - which could be used for parking or to store bikes or perhaps paddleboards!

We loved Exmouth.. its a traditional, friendly, seaside town and the location of this flat is perfect. Leave your car behind (or in the garage) as everything is within reach… wander along the promenade, the Blue Flag beach gives onto crystal clear water. Enjoy the view over the estuary and a Boat Cruise along the coast before heading up the cliffs to the start of the Jurassic coast. The town has everything you need for a self-catering holiday, with The Grove pub and restaurant within sight and the Rockfish restaurant 2 minutes walk away… we loved it and will be back for sure!

Inside great but the outside needs some work , the garden at the front is a mess and the fire escape has a lot of rust with some holes .

The property is ok. The beds were comfortable and the linens were nice. The lack of towels provided was annoying. The biggest issue we had on our stay was the cleanliness of the property. The kitchen was greasy and dusty. I had to clean pots and pans before I could use them. The kitchen cabinet doors were dirty. Many things were broken in the kitchen too such as the extractor fan and the light in the fridge. In the bathroom there were toothpaste etc marks on the mirror and the mechanism of the shower door was terribly dusty. There were cobwebs in the top corners too. The rental company could give more information in their welcome packet too regarding the cleaning packet and tea making supplies. I didn't find them until a few days after moving in because they were tucked away on top of the microwave. The location of this property is fantastic but there is definitely room for improvement, especially for the price. I had spent 2 weeks prior in a 2 bedroom house tin Woodbury that was much nicer and cost much less.
