We recently stayed at this modern two-bedroom apartment in Exmouth and overall had a good experience. The apartment itself is spacious, very well equipped, and spotlessly clean. It feels contemporary and comfortable, with everything you’d need for a relaxing stay. The location is also excellent, making it a great base for exploring Exmouth and the surrounding area.
The arrival process really lets the property down. Access is unnecessarily complicated and not clearly explained in advance. We had to phone the landlord for help due to insufficient information, which isn’t ideal—especially when arriving in poor weather. Collecting the keys involves two separate coded locks outside, and we were stood in pouring rain trying to work it out. The key box is behind a coded gate, amongst several others & isn’t labelled or numbered, and there are three identical-looking keys for two different deadlocks on the apartment door. To make things more confusing, one lock turns clockwise to open and the other anticlockwise, with no guidance provided.
We weren’t informed that there is also another entrance to the block from the street. The garage parking itself is extremely tight due to large pipework framing around the pillars, which makes manoeuvring quite difficult.
It’s worth noting that previous reviews appear to have mentioned similar access issues, so it would be great to see this improved. Clearer instructions, better labelling, and a simpler key system would make a big difference to what is otherwise a lovely apartment.
With a smoother check-in process, this would easily be a top-rated stay.

Very clean, nice owner,
The picture showed it’s on the beach but actually it wasn’t. It was very hot and the windows needed to be left opened that made us hear seagulls throughout the night hence no sleep. I guess winters shouldn’t be a problem as windows will be shut.
