Apartment Maru Prestige

- Contact was not available when I needed help the most. the check in procedure was stated as someone would meet me, but it turned out I was supposed to use the pin code. I’m used to using self checkins for apartments, but because of the given instruction, it did not occur to me to check for a lock and panicked for a bit. Most critically, The contact numbers given didnt work and messaging on the app took some time before I finally got a reply. - the apartment was managed by a third party agent Booker, so there was another set of instructions separately. this was where the pin code was indicated. There instructions was 4 pages long and the pin was somewhere in between. - When I finally got in, I messaged a number in the booklet for some help with locking up the door. The reply only came half an hour, and I already sorted ot by then, with much frustration. - given the great ratings, I honestly expected better facilities in the apartment. It is generally ok, but not exceptional. E.g aluminium foil provided but its almost finished, salt provided looked contaminated with specks inside, soap/shampoo is a tiny bottle per person for 4 nights stay. - to be fair, Kate did check in on my via whatsapp on my stay, but it was already too late. As I said, help was not available when I needed it the most.

Sehr nette und saubere Unterkunft in super Lage direkt am Tor. Küche top ausgestattet. Bad modern und unten ein extra WC. Klima in jedem Zimmer. Super nette Gastgeber.

The apartment was tastefully decorated. It was clean and cozy. It is relatively easy to get to considering the geography of the old city of Dubrovnik...less than 30 steps of stairs and about 10 minutes walk from Buza Gate. Kate, our host, was extremely friendly and helpful. Our flight arrival was delayed from 2pm to 8pm due to strong winds in the Dubrovnik airport. She came down to the Buza Gate entrance to meet us and help us with the bags and led our way to the apartment. Champaign and fresh fruits await us in the apartment. What a wonderful way to start our visit! Kate was constantly in touch with us during our trip and gave good recommendations on sights and restaurants. We loved the food at Lady PiPi, the restaurant about 1 minute away from the apartment. On the day we left, Kate was very kind to let us store our bags in the apartment till we were ready to leave for the airport. She also came to bid us goodbye. Staying in the apartment definitely was one of the best memories of our visit to Dubrovnik. I have no reservation to recommend it to my friends and it certainly will be my 1st choice of residence if I come back to Dubrovnik. Thank you, Kate, for everything.

The location was right near Buza Gate so there weren’t many steps to climb to get to the apartment. We were met by the lovely host, Kate, who walked us to the apartment. A welcome bottle of wine was on the table which was a nice surprise. The apartment was very clean and spacious and perfect for our group of 3. To avoid the hundreds of stairs to get down to the main street (Stradun), you can walk out Buza gate and walk outside the city walls to enter via Ploce or Pile Gate (5 min walk). We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend Apartment Maru Prestige for a stay in Dubrovnik.
