Apartments Peppino - Old Town

The apartment is quiet and remained cool throughout the day. Communication with the owner was excellent and very helpful.

There is no view from the windows as they look onto the street outside. Be aware that there is a 5+ minute walk up and down steep steps from the city entrance where you are dropped with your luggage so travel light!

Great location, spacious, clean and comfortable.

Lacked cooking utensils and I’m not sure why but after the kettle boiled it wouldn’t stop beeping till you unplugged it

The view over the old town is fantastic. The location is quiet and a few locals live there so it feels authentic. It is away from the crazyness of the main street. I used a porter service to help with my luggage as I had two cases. Tonka was really easy to communicate with and is kind and helpful. Great value for money, I loved staying in this little place.

Location, location, location. Kitchenette if you wanted to make food yourself. Good sized room for a couple and comfortable bed. Top floor windows overlooked the orange terracotta rooftops, which was evocative. Flexible host as far as early check in.

Ok - we are older folks; this might be a more appropriate place to stay for a younger couple, 50 and younger. All the streets in Old Town section require a fairly challenging climb up old, uneven stone steps. We counted 70, I believe, which were set at a fairly severe grade/angle which made hauling heavy luggage a definite problem. Once inside, the steps up to access our top floor apartment were likewise steep, narrow and angular, without any handrails! So again, trying to manage our luggage was difficult, especially when standing on the triangular curving steps. With no handrail, it was really hard to balance on the stair when loaded with luggage. The apartment was fairly spartan - nice size for 2 people, but just a bed, a beanbag chair and a small table with 2 chairs for dining. I would say this apartment is not the best for every traveler. Certainly a step up from a Hostel, but not what one would call top level But if you are prepared & keep your expectations realistic, you should be fine!
