The location is close to main tourist sites

There was no sign for Shanti outside the door so it took us a bit of time to locate the property and it was raining heavy. I did message prior to mention that we do not require the sofa bed, but on arrival the sofa bed was made and that made the living room feels smaller. We booked the room for 5 people and the day before we messaged with our preference for breakfast as requested by the host. In the morning, only 4 breakfast was delivered.

Exceptional appartment in every way other than the wifi and hot water. Free breakfast was delicious.

Used a code system which worked brilliantly. It was in the centre of the walled old town and the unit was absolutely immaculate, super cosy and very warm with beautiful views. Free breakfast was delicious!

Unique, cozy stay in Dubrovnik Old Town

Cozy, clean, bright, well equipped, beautiful location, right at central Old Town entrance.

If you are coming with large and/or heavy suitcases beware. Dubrovnik Old Town is full of stairs everywhere, and like many apartments in Old Town, you may need to be additionally going up 1-2 floors of stairs on foot to reach your door depending on which Shanti apartment you book. But can’t fault this property/host for that. Just the reality of Dubrovnik Old Town in general.

Awesome flat for dalmatian holidays

Excellent location, quite near to one of the entrance gates to the citadel and a few steps away from . The flat has been renovated, everything was pristine clean, nice bathroom, cozy bed and most of all, excellent service and staffing by Ali. The breakfast was awesome!

A few hangers for the coats and hats at the entrance would be appreciated....

The room was very comfortable with everything we needed. Ali was a great help and made us feel very welcomed. Lovely breakfast.

There were many steps leading to the room, which is expected in old town. Can be a bit challenging with suitcases.

It was splendit and recomend for others .

The Lanni restaurant which serves breakfast was very helpful and accomodating. Really recomend, because they treat you like a person than a cash grab. I had to check out early, because I knew I wouldn't have made it took exact check out Time. But Lanni restaurant took care of my bags for my desired timeline(which was 4 PM, they close tho at 6). And didn't charge for it. Which was great, student approved.

The make up mirror didn't work, but it really wasn't a big deal, this is why I didn't contact the host for it.

a very comfortable, well stocked apartment. Fun, eclectic decor. Lovely new bathroom with all the amenities. Kitchen has everything you need.

Lots of stairs, although that is just the way it is in old town, but if you are elderly or have difficulty with stairs this might not be the best place for you. And with no host to greet you there is no help with luggage which is fine if you can handle your own luggage up and down stairs. This was not a problem for us.

Easy place to see central Dubrovnik

We loved the central location and the two closest places to eat were great. We even went back to the little pub for a second time. It was an excellent experience for us.

Nothing really comes to mind. Maybe if you had a hard time with stairs I might try to find a place on a more flat area? We didn't have any issues though.

Overll a great stay in a beautiful place

The location inside the walls was great with access to many resturants and the sites. The discount at Lani resturant was nice and the food great.

We were not aware at time of booking that the room was quite high up and required carrying luggage up steep stairs. Fortunately we are fairly fit and it was okay but I can foresee an issue with others.

Too hard to access with luggage and no one to help. Feels neglected and needs a deep cleaning.

It was fair.

There is tremendous confusion on its location. And the listing should clearly state that access with luggage is very difficult. The steep stairs in the city and the number of them is almost not manageable for an average person and they are dangerous. The room was not as described. I would never rate it higher than 5/10. Duct tape on the bathroom wall where there used to be a towel rod and the place could use a real deep cleaning and paint job. It also had a damp smell.

Spectacular views and relaxing stay!

The views from the balcony were spectacular. The apartment was warm and inviting, very clean and well-maintained. Lovely art from around the world on the walls. Location was convenient - walk down stairs (though many to get back up) to Banje Beach and Old Town. Great communication from the host. She sent specific instructions with video for how to find the apartment and where to have taxi drop off/ pick up (which were needed). Would definitely stay here again.

It is a 1.5 bath (versus 2 bath as advertised). Note, the penthouse is not in Old Town which it appears to be in the listing. It is up the hill from Old Town (which we actually preferred). Note - you need to roll suitcases down a bumpy drive and then a few sets of stairs to enter, but it was fine.

Not as advertised!

It is nothing like the photos shown. No balcony, no view, no dining table. The view was of the brick wall across the alley. The beds were not good and there was a bandage with blood on the covers of the beds. Very disappointing.

Lovely apartment but noisy location.

Central location, nicely appointed, good communication

Our main problem was with noise - not so much a problem of the actual property, but the neighbourhood. There was loud dance music playing til the early hours of the morning making it impossible to sleep til very late and with young children and an early start the next day, this really spoiled the stay.

Fantastic location in the Old Town, just minutes from all major attractions. The property is situated on a side street , and though there are very lively areas just a few steps away, noise was not a major issue.

It’s all about the view!

The penthouse apartment is not in the city walls as you are led to believe on booking.com….. but actually it does give you amazing views of the city, better than you would get within the walls, so actually for us was great. It is beautifully decorated, the bed was comfy, the hot tub was clean, but it’s all about the view for me. The communication and directions etc from the host were great.

Should be clear on booking.com where it is, it is not where it says it is. There are lots of steps to the property, could be a problem for some, but you don’t get this view without going up! Could do with some TLC, broken tiles on the kitchen floor we caught our toes on, hot tub panels falling off, chipped paint on balcony, patio furniture felt grotty, old furniture and ladders at the entrance… But I would still recommend it for the view.

Great stay after initial confusion on location of the apartment

The apartment itself was great!. Very clean, modern and awesome views of the ocean.

The address of the property on Booking.com was inside the old city walls, so we thought the apartment was there, but it was outside the walls about 1/3 of a mile. The hosts has several properties inside the walls and explained that Booking.com come shows that address for all of their properties even though this one was not. Once this was explained they were very accommodating, gave us a discount for the confusion and the host arranged to take us to the property and taxis for all of us the next day to leave.
