A lovely character building in a good location
My room was quite small and very warm

Great location in the beautiful Bourneville village for walking to Cadbury World and the station. Helpful staff and good breakfast. Cosy room with nice outlook.
Our room was very small . No bedside tables and bed against the wall which was not so good. Minimum of towels and shower was an electric one so not very powerful. Towel rail was wobbly and needed fixing.? Should be called a B and B as no restaurant and nearest place to eat was in Selly Oak or Stitchley.

The breakfast was nice, the staff were all very good and friendly. The room was warm and the bed was very comfortable.
The communal areas are all very nice, but the rooms are very old and run down. The bathroom was very old, with mould in the shower. The shower is next to useless because it is electric and electric showers are always useless, you can barely get wet under them. I was there for 4 nights and they made up the room 2 nights, but never gave me more toilet paper, so I had to buy some. All of my stay they never emptied the bin, so that was overflowing and a big pile next to it. There is big holes in the floor at the bottom of the bed, and the carpet has just been layered over the , which is unbelievable, I have been a builder in the past and that is a easy fix, every time I walked around the bed my foot would fall into the big holes in the floor, which adds to the feeling that the room is very run down and needs a complete renovation.

The breakfast was really good and the waiting staff in the morning very friendly and approachable. We also liked the location as it was very near to the venue that we were visiting.
The newly renovated bathroom was also really modern, clean and inviting
I received a holding charge for the accommodation twice on my bank account which was only cleared after one week which could not be explained by the reception.
The bedroom was very small despite being advertised as a Deluxe King room and we could not find the light switches for the lights over the bedside cabinets.

Very good for both
Didn't think the room warranted a £100 fee as it was so tiny.

The room was cold with an inadequate radiator that was covered by the curtain. Not enough toilet paper and no spare roll. No bedside light or ability to turn off light from the bed. Very poor hot water pressure.

The breakfast was quite limited.

Breakfast was good, slightly limited over the Christmas period but staff were very pleasant and obliging. Small bedroom, but very comfortable bed. Perfect location for us as family live in Bourneville.

Location perfect for visiting Bournville and Cadbury world. Close to station.
Only advised of Christmas party night two days before arrival. Room immediately above bar and noise awful.
No headboards so pillows kept falling on floor.
Room not big enough to be a triple.
Shower pressure dire.
No butter.

Second stay at Old Farm for our daughter’s masters graduation at Uni of Birmingham, good location near to Bourneville Village. Had booked a double room but on arrival got upgraded to a suite which was unexpected but very welcome. Room was lovely and clean, super comfy bed, good shower and all round excellent facilities. Good breakfast included which was very good with quality ingredients
No complaints at all

The location was perfect for us, with in walking distance to the train station, cadbury world and pubs! The room names we loved and added to the experience of staying in Bournville. Room and bathroom were cosy and warm and the smart tv was a perfect end to a busy day!
The breakfast was lovely and delicious however we expected buffet style like other hotels.

It was convenient
Took £50 deposit of me , still waiting for it to be refunded 2 weeks later!! Walls very thin could hear people in next bedroom talking all night, hence no sleep🙁 Had to wait an hour for breakfast as they had run out of items, even though we were down for breakfast at 9

Location
For £120 I expect taps on the sink and running cold water to fill the kettle and brush my teeth.
Gap in the window pain.
Very bright green security light in the ceiling that stayed on all night.
I went for continental breakfast. It took 25 minutes to make and it was tiny.

English breakfast cooked to order, lovely. Huge teapot with three mugs worth of tea in it. Large cups to drink from. Lady in the kitchen very friendly. Garden view as promised. Across the road from Cadbury World.
Poor internet and tv but possibly down to storm Claudia

Lovely welcome to the hotel. Continental breakfast was included.
We didnt know the full breakfast wasn't included until we read the fine print on booking.com, it just said breakfast was included and showed pictures of a cooked breakfast so misleading. Also restaurant isnt open on Mondays or Tuesdays either.

Convenient location
Lady who cooked breakfast was very nice and friendly.
Reception staff didn’t engage in anyway after booking in. No conversation or smile.

Just the location , perfect for our day out
In the middle of a refit which the staff apologised for , however the double room was tiny and cramped , no bedside tables , nowhere to put anything , nowhere to charge phones etc , bathroom dirty and mouldy
There was a private party on which we weren’t pre warned about , music shouting and screaming went on til 12.30 pm right outside our window , then more shouting etc in the next rooms , it was unbearable , we had to get up to complain
Cooked breakfast was extra in the morning

Location is good and in a nice area. It was good to have parking and the sheets were clean.
There was extensive refurbishment going on and noise during the day which I was not informed about. Sleep was not comfortable as the mattress was old and I felt the springs. The gentleman that checked me in was very unprofessional.

Very clean, ideally located just outside of the busy city centre and close to Cadbury world.
Uber cost to city centre was between £10-£13.
Room was updated with mod cons and was very nice. Great terrace at the rear and a small bar.
Owner has recently taken over the hotel and has big plans ongoing there to modernise it.
Would 100% look to stay again next time visiting Birmingham.
Little bit of noise from the road in the morning but that's to be expected given it's road side location

Tiny bathroom. Could do with a small bedside table for the lamp

Best scrambled eggs I’ve ever had! Perfectly freshly cooked. Friendliness and helpfulness of staff weasel our stay relaxed and easy. Location is superb: parking, large garden to sit in, quiet yet on main road and buses and Bournville train station (9 mins walk away) only 5 stops into Birmingham New Street. If going to Cadbury’s World, this is the best place to stay! Just 5 mins across the road. Perfect. I went with 2 granddaughters aged 10 and 12 and they loved that Netflix was available for them! For supper, a short drive away with parking is Kings Norton where there’s a huge choice. Old Farm Hotel can advise and recommend.
Fruit at breakfast would have been nice and plain yoghurts to have with honey. A healthier option, particularly after all the chocolate consumed from Cadbury’s World …!

It was nice in a beautiful setting. We had the family suite which allowed us access to a little terrace overlooking the gorgeous big garden. Friendly staff and very clean.

Unfortunately the power to one side of the romm did not work so there was no kettle, tv or light working. I checked in quite late so staff had gone home before i could report it.

Nothing
We actually did not stay in the hotel. On arrival we were disappointed but after viewing the room we decided we were not going to stay. The room was very shabby and the shower was full of mould and generally grubby. We ganded the key back in and left.

Breakfast - hot / was fine
Tiny room
70’s decor
Private function in the afternoon with bouncy castle opposite bedroom window
Queen bed too wide for tiny room / covering part of door threshold
Musty damp smell in bathroom.

Breakfast was nicely cooked but would have like some plain yogurt and fresh fruit.
The staff were very helpful
The room was very hot with no fan or aircon. Using an electric shower heater to provide water to the wash basis was not great.
Parking was tricky

Easy walk to Bournville railway station. Very nice garden to have a coffee or a beer in. Good breakfast served by friendly staff.
The room was a bit small and needed one or two more extra creature comforts.
