A little DIAMOND in the Somerset countryside.

We discovered this TREASURE last half term and couldn’t wait to head back down to Somerset. The hosts could not have been more friendly and accommodating and breakfast was AMAZING! Our two beagles loved it too as there is a secure garden to have some FREE time without having to head out for walks. Everything about the room showed the little thoughtful touches that make Steps Farmhouse EXTRA SPECIAL.

A gorgeous valentines treat with my husband and dogs!

The facilities were excellent and the accommodation, breakfast room and grounds were clean and luxurious. Our hosts were exceptional and the cooked breakfast absolutely delicious, with lots of extra delicious options available too. Dogs are welcomed too and only charged £10 extra per group which is very fair.

The fridge in the room was fairly noisy throughout the night. A small detail though compared to how lovely and faultless everything else was!

Very pleased with our stay, lovely clean warm room, lots of thoughtful extras in our room, very nice generous breakfast cooked by the friendly host Paul. Well kept gardens and easy parking. Close to Minehead and the coast, Dunster Village and Castle and the Steam Trains at at Minehead Station! Have left a review on Trip Advisor too.

The perfect place for unwinding, relaxing, leaving your cares behind and being pampered.

A tastefully restored and adapted old farmhouse. The owner couple are so friendly and most accommodating. The room was cozy and warm and there was plenty of room for our two well behaved dogs too.There is absolutely nothing I could possibly be missing; our room was kitted out with kindness and thoughtful regards for guests. Although it wasn’t the right time of year, we really enjoyed the beautiful gardens with a guest-summerhouse. So peaceful. The breakfast was fantastic; a choice of different “full English” with fresh coffee choices from a cut above, automatic coffee machine, any typ of tea or chocolate drink. There was fresh fruit, fruit salad, yoghurt, jam, honey, cereals,toast, fresh croissants and on and on. Unparalleled!

Absolutely fantastic. It’s the little extras that make somewhere special. Such friendly owners who were so welcoming. The room was warm, cosy and comfortable. Breakfast an amazing selection of quality ingredients. This will be our new go to B&B as there is nothing to top this in the area

Very friendly staff. Extremely clean, comfortable and quiet room. But it’s the extra things in the room that were lovely - useful. For example, forgot my toothbrush, but there was one available in the room.

Top notch rooms, great breakfast, no complaints and we will definitely use them again

Location was ideal for us, just a couple of miles from relatives. Would be great for seeing the moors, Minehead and all the surrounding area. Breakfast was lovely, hot, cooked to order and a sensible thing to order exactly what you want the night before. Sharon and Paul are lovely people and have done a brilliant job of doing up the old farmhouse.

Not a complaint, but the shower would be difficult to access if you had mobility issues, or are of a larger stature! (Room 4).

Breakfasts were excellent and very well presented: cold foods and fruit and juice on the sideboard, and hot foods very well and promptly served at the table. Sharon and Paul are very genial hosts and looked after us extremely well.

Our room was very small: no wardrobe and lacked any decent space for hanging clothes and stowing suitcases.

A warm welcome awaits

Sharon and Paul are wonderful hosts. I had a delightful stay in a stone outbuilding with a lovely little cottage garden outside my window. There is also another large cottage garden with tables and chairs for guests to enjoy.I was a little concerned about road noise but it was perfectly quiet as the rooms are at the back of the 16th century farmhouse. Breakfast was one of the best I had while travelling in the UK for 6 weeks. Thanks for such a relaxing experience

A warm, wonderful stay that is easy to recommend!

Sharon & Paul gave us the warmest welcome I think I've ever received! Their farmhouse is a gem and was perfectly situated at the end of our long day of cycling the GB Divide route. Paul very kindly let us wash our bikes down and store them securely. After a good night's sleep we wandered down to a beautifully presented and very tasty breakfast courtesy of Sharon. I don't often take time to leave reviews, but it felt like a LOT of love has gone into Steps Farmhouse and that's worth calling out! Thank you both :-)

Excellent family run B&B with: great personal service, superb freshly cooked breakfast (multiple choices), spotless room & lovely garden with bar! Small establishments like this with the personal touch by the owners beat the large commercial operations hands down every time & they're often cheaper too - what's not to like? We were looking for a peaceful relaxed escape before the hectic drama of my daughter's wedding & that's exactly what we got!!

The breakfast was superb, there was a wonderful choice of hot and cold foods and if there was something different that was not on the menu it could be catered for. Sharon and Paul who own and run Steps were fantastic hosts and made everyone feel so welcomed

Perfect stay

Hosts are most friendly, their garden is the perfect relaxing area. We usually stay in self contained cottages but as this break was a shorter stay and the rooms are based around the outside of the property, this made it feel very private. Highly recommended.

The comfort and the relaxed setting, the garden was lovely and even had a bar in the garden with a honesty box. Great prices for drinks or snacks. The breakfast was amazing and a great selection of things for breakfast. My partner absolutely loved the Poached Eggs.

Perfect short break.

Fantastic eggs! Great breakfast. Lovely gardens with various places to sit and outside drinks 'hut'. Excellent location. We were amazed how quiet it was, despite being on a busy road. A beautiful old house. Lots of thought put into supplying small items in the room...eg. sewing kit. We got on very well with the teddy bear.

Steps Stay

Everything! Stayed here quite a few times now and it is such a relaxing place to stay. Comfortable, clean rooms, excellent breakfast! A lovely garden to sit in when the sun is shining. Sharon and Paul the hosts are great- nothing is too much trouble.

There isn't anything we did not like- except having to leave 😀
