Fantastic stay. Need an excuse to come again

Absolutely loved staying with Neil and Tyrone. They instantly made us feel welcome and at home. The room was spotless and beautiful, making full use of the properties features while also being modern and fresh. The bed was so comfortable and breakfast was fantastic. The attention to detail on everything including the beautiful garden was amazing. Thank you!

Lovely cosy room liked the touch of fresh flowers on the breakfast table. I had the full English the first morn with delicious coffee from a locally sourced shop. On day 2 tried the scrambled egg & fresh smoked salmon with toast forgot I’d ordered a croissant & Tyrone kindly popped it into a paper bag for me to take away. The whole experience was so sumptuous & great shower everyone was so friendly without being intrusive. I enjoyed a real treat & highly recommend a stay here & will come again. Shelagh.

A beautiful cottage right in the middle of Porlock within easy reach of shops and restaurants. Immaculate, clean and well organised. Breakfast lovely. Parking available at the rear of the cottage.

Everything! We were made to feel enormously welcome, the hosts were wonderful, helpful and considerate. The room, although small, was equipped with absolutely everything you could possibly need. It was spotless, the bed extremely comfortable and bed linen luxurious. Breakfast was delicious.

Such a warm and friendly welcome from Tyrone, who had the most impeccable customer service skills. His old cottage was very nicely presented with a really very comfortable bed. Excellent breakfast to boot! Overall, one of the best b&b’s we’ve stayed in. Thank you!

Thoroughly enjoyable, with a feeling of being at home.

Neil and Tyrone were the perfect hosts, very friendly and welcoming and we immediately felt at home. Nothing was too big a request. They gave us advice on where to eat, areas to visit, shops etc. Breakfast was excellent and served with a big smile. There was a kettle, bottle of drinking water, tea and hot chocolate available in our room in addition to chocolates and yummy biscuits. We really cannot say enough about Neil and Tyrone and their charming B & B. We highly recommend anyone visiting Somerset, Devon or Cornwall to factor in a stop at Myrtle Cottage B & B. You will not regret it. Thank you Neil and Tyrone for making us feel so at home and spoilt.

Exceptional!

I had the most magical stay at Myrtle Cottage. Everything was absolutely perfect. Every little detail in the room had been carefully thought about and catered for and this made my time extra special. Thank you to Tyrone and Neil for taking such good care of me after a long day walking the coast path.

The one and only challenge and this had nothing to do with the accommodation was getting back onto the path in the morning which added mileage to my day!

Amazing.

Our hosts, Tyrone and Neil, were committed to ensuring we had a comfortable and restful stay. The room was beautifully appointed within a lovely, historic house, very stylish and clean as a whistle. We received a truly delicious breakfast. There was nothing not to like about this place, it could not be improved on. Cake on arrival, locally roasted coffee, and lots of good recommendations for looking around, dining, and our case, hiking the SWCP. Do yourself a favor and book your stay at this little cottage, you will definitely not regret it, in fact, it will probably be the highlight of your trip.

I enjoyed a perfect one night stay at Myrtle Cottage whilst passing through on the coast path. It is excellently located in Porlock with shops and pubs nearby. I was made to feel welcome from the moment I arrived by Tyrone, who was an outstanding host. The room and bathroom were clean and comfortable. The breakfast was wonderful. Everything exceeded my expectations and I would recommend Myrtle Cottage to anyone.

We loved our stay and thought that Myrtle Cottage was stunning. Our room was small but beautifully decorated and very comfortable and had lots of special touches. The hosts were both super friendly and informative and provided an excellent breakfast.

Perfect!

Had a lovely 2 night stay here from 4th - 6th April 2025 with my hubby. It was absolutely perfect 👌 Tyrone & Neil are fantastic hosts & did everything they could to make our stay brilliant. We were met with a warm welcome on arrival. The cottage is gorgeous & felt just like home. It was comfortable & spotlessly clean throughout. Our room was very cute, lovely & so cosy. It had a large bathroom with a shower over the bath. (Room 1) Take some bubble bath with you😉 We had garden & sea views. The garden is also very gorgeous & well maintained. A nice touch was a welcome card in our room with our names on. There were also some little local chocolate bars, biscuits, tea, coffee, etc. Attention to detail was spot on. Oh ... & the bed was extremely comfy. Oh ... & the 3 course breakfast was scrummy & superb, good variety available too. So thank you, Tyrone & Neil, for making our stay so wonderful. You are ace. For us, it was the best B & B we've stayed in! Myrtle Cottage & Porlock Village are both well worth a visit. We'll be back. Room 1, please?😁

The property is quaint and pretty in a great location. Tyrone and Neil are outstanding hosts. The breakfast was delicious with a range of different dishes. Our room was great with a wonderfully comfortable bed, complete with Egyptian cotton bedding. The shower was easy to use and there was plenty of hot water. So often the shower is poor but not here. Dog friendly doesn’t express how much care went into making sure our dog (Hattie) enjoyed the stay. Spotlessly clean and top quality throughout. Highly recommended. Thank you both.

Can't imagine a better B&B experience

Neil and Tyrone were exceptional hosts, very friendly and accommodating. We enjoyed talking with them and their knowledge of the area was helpful for our hike. The building itself was gorgeous. Breakfast was great and they catered for our vegetarianism and had all the plant-based alternatives, even the butter. There was homemade lemon drizzle cake, local chocolate and a nice selection of teas in the room. The bed was extremely comfy and the shower was lovely too, my partner appreciated the mini makeup wipe. Overall we had an excellent stay and would recommend to anyone visiting the area.

Very, very highly recommended

My stay was so nice. I was hiking the coast path a little early in the year for camping, so i stopped here for the night. Could not have asked for a better BnB. The room was quiet, well decorated, had a lovely shower, and all the details made me feel so welcome. The hosts hospitality is second to none, super friendly and charming couple with lots of advice and knowledge of the area. The breakfast was great, too.

Dont think there was a vegetarian option on the breakfast but i could be mistaken.
