Excellent accommodation & great hosts

We thoroughly enjoyed our 2 night stay at the Studio. The welcome was warm, the accommodation was spotless and an excellent breakfast was served in the adjoining tea room. The bonus of a little garden was a big plus, especially as we had our dog with us. Would highly recommend this Porlock gem if you are looking for a cosy retreat in this lovely village.

A thoroughly enjoyable stay in a beautiful part of the world with friendly and informative hosts.

Warm welcome from hosts Helen and Shaun. The studio was spotlessly clean and in a convenient location just off the Main Street in beautiful Porlock. There was a small garden and courtyard for our dog to explore and for us to enjoy alfresco wine. Breakfast was served in our hosts’ nearby tearoom and we were given plenty of tips and ideas about where to visit and what to see - including the country’s tallest trees near picturesque Dunster.

Traditional English cooked breakfasts were great but perhaps a little more variety such as granola and berries for vegetarians/vegans would be worth considering. And we would have appreciated a small fridge in the studio itself.

Absolutely everything, Helen and Shaun were extremely welcoming and friendly, nothing was too much trouble, it was spotless, comfortable and in a great location, we especially liked the secure garden as we had our dog with us. Breakfast in their tea rooms was delicious watching the world go by.

Helen and Shaun were friendly, helpful and went the extra mile. Will definitely stay there again. When we arrived there was fresh milk, tea and coffee and delicious homemade flapjacks. The breakfasts were wonderful and substantial and kept us going all day.

The Studio was excellent with a separate entrance and private garden area which was great as we had a dog with us. It was very clean and tidy and had everything you could want in a B & B. Breakfast in the tea room was lovely as were the home made scones with jam and cream. Helen and Sean were lovely hosts and were a mine of information about the local area. We will definitely visit again when we are next in the area.

Such a cute little studio, very romantic for me and my girlfriend - we loved it! Welcoming staff and very accommodating for my vegan girlfriend. Breakfast was huge and all high quality ingredients. Porlock itself and the surrounding area is all stunning. Can't rate highly enough!

It was a very good base. Location was perfect. Hosts very nice. Food excellent.

There was nothing we didn't like. I think a little fridge in the room would be a good addition.
