This couple has thought of everything you might need for your stay. Even to the extent of a small pair of scissors next to the ketchup/mayonnaise sachets which are always so maddening to open!! Lovely little touches like some roses chocs and a couple of dark mints in the room, plenty of tea/coffee and a jug of fresh milk available every day in the fridge for guests to take up rather than having to use the milk cartons (also provided!) it was also really clean, lots of plugs for charging phones etc, a fan for hot weather, all thought of. And you won't starve under the watch if this host, breakfast is truly excellent.
I think this couple perhaps run this guest house as they always have for many many years and it's a bit like stepping back in time! But in a very good way.
The house is old of course so don't expect modern swanky tiles and flash decor obviously but it is really clean, really comfortable and very reasonably priced. The location for exploring north Devon is perfect and the guest house is also at the foot of the lovely hill and beautiful street that leads up to St Michael's Church. Really pretty and great views.

We loved the location of the property, it was far enough away from town so the location was quiet and peaceful with no disturbance during sleeping hours. But was still not too far to walk into town or down the beach. We had our 8 year old with us and the walk was pleasant and not too far for little legs! The breakfast was really delicious and hosts were friendly and attentive! We will be back!
The beds were comfortable and the room was exceptionally clean. Nice soft towels and a good shower with good pressure. We slept well.

It was accommodation of good value with lovely people running it. Breakfast was good. The room was lovely and was clean, sweets and toiletries were very welcome. Shower was good

There’s on site parking, and situated within easy access of Minehead and the main road, but very peaceful. Excellent breakfast choices.
The steps to access the reception are quite steep and narrow. Don’t do what I did, and try to carry all your luggage in one go!
