Siracusa Dream Holiday

The apartment was very clean with a large comfortable bed. A cot was set up for baby and we were able to check in early which was much appreciated after a long travel day and allowed baby to nap. There was a coffee machine and aome small snacks dor breakfast which was a nice touch. Lots of towel and a large shower. The location is fabulous, down a nice quiet side street but a short walk from the main attractions of Ortigia. While initial communication was somewhat inconsistent (I received no response on how to check in/whether there was luggage storage available) in the days before we arrived communication via WhatsApp was much better and we really appreciated the early check in and easy self check in/check out.

As noted above, communication at the beginning could have been better and its seems there is no ability to store luggage. However we stored luggage at a bike shop nearby. The door to the apartment is extremely narrow and its hard to get in and out with luggage. We were thankfully on the bottom floor but the steps to the other apartments seemed quite strep/difficult so maybe best avoided if you have mobility issues or a lot of luggage. Overall we enjoyed our stay and would book again.

Central location near the large car park. Its tucked down a road, so whilst its central, we found it very quiet. We were delayed and the kind lady who met us with the keys hung around for us.

We happened to visit when it was cold, and the first night was really cold. The A/C didn't function, and there was no other means of heating. A fire was delivered the next day, along with a bottle of wine, but they said that they realised that the A/C was broken. The small oven was dangerous. After a few mins operation the main fuse for the apartment blew. The kitchen equipment looked like it was there as a minimum to tick boxes. The kitchen knife was minature.

Small, perfectly clean, tastefully decorated apartment, quiet street (no cars, no bars), in the center of Ortigia, private terazza, perfect bed, what more could you ask for? Thanks, Concetta.
