We can fully understand why this property receives such positive reviews. The location is fantastic: right in the heart of Ortigia, with everything within walking distance, yet still a comfortable and quiet place to retreat to after a busy day exploring. There is also a very convenient small supermarket nearby on Via Cavour. We stayed in Apartment 3 and found it exactly as described. It was clean, comfortable and had everything we needed for our stay. The apartment is located on the second floor and shares a central hallway with two other apartments owned by the same hosts. Despite all apartments being occupied during our stay, we hardly noticed the other guests and found the building pleasantly quiet. The terrace, accessed via an external staircase, is a cosy spot to relax. One thing future guests may wish to know is that it is only lit by a few small solar lights. We found it perfectly pleasant during the day, but a little too dark to comfortably enjoy after sunset. One of the things we appreciated most was how easy it was to explore Ortigia entirely on foot. In the evenings, it was wonderful to wander through the historic streets, stop for a drink or dinner, and be back at the apartment within minutes. The location is also convenient for both Cala Rossa and the beach at Forte Vigliena. In addition, there is a local bus stop very close by with connections to the bus terminal and train station. We had a wonderful stay and would happily choose Anacreonte Apartments again on a future visit to Ortigia and Syracuse.

Die Lage der Unterkunft ist ausgezeichnet. Das ist ein großer Pluspunkt. Mitten in der Altstadt von Syrakus. Es ist trotzdem ruhig, wenn man die Fenster schließt. Die Vermieterin war sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Die Wohnung an sich, ist groß und geräumig, aber leider nicht sehr liebevoll eingerichtet und etwas in die Jahre gekommen. Preis Leistung daher für uns nicht mehr gerechtfertigt. Es sind viele Kleinigkeiten, die uns letztendlich enttäuscht haben. Es gab zwar eine Waschmaschine , aber es wurde eine leere Flasche Waschmittel hingestellt. Ich habe ein neues gekauft. Die Küche war schlecht eingerichtet . Es gab weder Backofen noch Toaster, keinen Geschirrspüler. Keine Mikrowelle. Also wenn man mit einer Familie anreist und auch mal kochen möchte, ist es fast unmöglich. Wir waren nur zu zweit und konnten deshalb improvisieren….

Die Wohnung ist leider in die Jahre gekommen, die Couch hatte viele Flecken, wir mochten uns gar nicht drauf setzen, haben uns erstmal die Tagesdecke gewaschen und drüber gelegt. Das Bett ist unbequem. Wenn man etwas größer und schwerer ist, rollt man immer nach unten. Die Matratzen müssten dringend ausgetauscht werden. Wenn man unten in den Hauseingang kommt, riecht es sehr unangenehm und streng nach Abwasser oder ähnlichen, es ist jedes Mal eine Überwindung… Die Küche, nicht gut ausgestattet, wie schon oben geschrieben. Es fehlt ein Toaster, Backofen oder eine Mikrowelle, etc. es gibt keine Garderobe, wo man mal eine Jacke anhängen könnte, keinen großen Spiegel. Als Frau im Urlaub finde ich es einfach wichtig.Viele Kleinigkeiten, die uns letztendlich nicht überzeugt haben.
