This stay is in a beautiful neighborhood with tiny streets in Ortigia, its location is privileged since it’s in front of a big open space whilst most of the streets in this neighborhood are not. The streets in the surroundings are mostly for pedestrians, but sometimes you can see trash trucks, or local small vehicles around some less narrow streets, I believe it depends of the ZTL being active or not. If you have a car you must park in a payment parking lot that is called “Talete”, it is a 3 minute walking distance, you don’t really need a car in my opinion for this town, but if you already have it, this parking lot is the correct way to go. Regarding the space, it’s beautiful, we got the room all the way to the top, the room itself was very comfortable and convenient due to the big space and kitchen facilities. There are supermarkets nearby and if you want to make a home cooked meal it’s possible. We were overall really pleased with our stay.

It was expected for the spaces not to be very big, but the staircase was very narrow and kind of hard to take in our luggage, even though they were only carry ons. It is understandable though. Our least favorite part was that the bathroom had a drainage smell. And we were never able to make the wifi work for us. Other than that everything was smooth and comfortable.

Very cute and well equipped. In a good location - near the main areas, shops and sea but very quiet too. Shower was good and the apartment is spacious overall. It didn’t have a washing machine but has a laundrette just around the corner. Host communicated with us really well. The stairs is very steep so might be awkward for anyone with mobility issues.

The bed and bathroom fan were both really really noisy. The aircon could be a bit stronger.

DIE ideale Wohnung, wenn man mehrere Tage in Syrakus ist. Sie liegt im ehemaligen Fischerviertel, ganz nahe hinter dem Markt, an einem ruhigen Platz, wo weder Motorverkehr noch Touristen stören, sondern Einheimische wohnen. Da man im zweiten Stock mit einem großen Balkon samt festinstallierter Markise wohnt, kann man die Abende mit dieser herrlichen Aussicht auf den kleinen Platz genießen und wunderbar bei offenem Fenster schlafen. Sehr schön die perfekt eingerichtete Küche.

Man muss nur eins wissen: Die Wohnung ist im zweiten Stock und nur über eine sehr schmale, steile Treppe erreichbar. Nur das Koffer-Hochschleppen ist etwas schwierig, aber machbar und dann ist es kein Problem mehr. Bei uns funktionierte das Warmwasser fast nie. Es ist inzwischen wohl gerichtet. Der Kontakt mit der Vermieterin funktionierte nur über WhatsApp. Das klappte.
