The apartment itself was lovely, very clean and in a great location for exploring Ortigia. The local family downstairs were also incredibly kind and helpful when we had difficulties getting into the property. Overall, the apartment was well presented and comfortable.

Unfortunately, the communication and check-in process were extremely stressful. We arrived without having received the information needed to access the property and were left waiting outside while trying to contact the hosts. During this exchange, we suddenly began receiving the ID requests and other pre-check-in messages that should have been dealt with before our arrival. Within minutes, we were then told these messages had previously been sent and ignored, which was simply not our experience — we could see they had only just been received while we were standing outside trying to gain access. When we eventually received a lockbox code, it was initially for the wrong lockbox, which contained no key. We also booked based on a listing prominently showing a rooftop terrace, but our apartment did not have access to it. When we queried this, we again found the communication argumentative, with responsibility repeatedly placed on either us or Booking.com rather than simply trying to resolve our concerns. The apartment itself was quite dark with limited natural light, and during the heatwave the bedroom became very warm as the only air-conditioning unit was in the living area. It’s a shame because the property itself was lovely, but dealing with the hosts was unnecessarily difficult and stressful and significantly affected our experience.

There were 2 flights of stairs and 1 more to the terrace but my 80 year old mother managed them. The family that lived below the apartment had 3 young children who were very noisy. The apartment and terrace were lovely and fully equipped apart from a bottle opener. The location was excellent and close to all the major sights of Ortiga. We loved our stay at the apartment and would definitely recommend it...

Appartamento accogliente e curato. Posizione in pieno centro.

La cucina ben attrezzata, mancava però di posate! La seconda camera (quella più piccola), un po’ claustrofobica. Non all’altezza della camera più grande (molto bella).

Tolle Lage und mit der Dachterrasse ein echtes Highlight.
