The location of the apartment was perfect, in the centre of Ortigia but still very quiet, which we appreciated as we were travelling with our baby. There was a swimming spot not far from the building as well as a paid parking lot. The apartment was very well equipped, we particularly appreciated the washing machine, travel cot and kitchen appliances. We also loved staying in a historic building, with a balcony overlooking a beautiful, old street, that was nonetheless renovated to a modern, high standard.

Owner Marco is extremely friendly. The appartment is on perfect location, 5 min walk from open market (must try Borderi street food), 10 min walk from old castle, 200 m from payable beach and 400 m from free rock beach. Aretusa beach if further 200m. Around appartment there are numerous caffeterias, restaurants and local bars. However, appartment is in very quiet strret. Appartment is very spacy, nice furniture, full equipment (incl laundry machine). Strongly recommend for couples and families. If staying here, consider not to rent a car for whole week since everything is handy. Bus takes 1 hour from Catania to Siracusa (6 eur) and taxi to the appartment is 12-14 eur.

The apartment was in a great location. I really felt that I was in the heart of Ortiga. The ocean was a block away and the wonderful street market was 10 minute walk away. The AC worked well.

I would have liked a more welcoming host. I was there for 11 days and was provided with one pod for the washer. I asked for one more and was told to go buy a carton. The shower backed up, the living room tv was broken. I asked for more than one roll of toilet paper and was told to go buy it. No consideration for my longer stay. These things soured my stay which was unfortunate.
