Great for a couple and two kids

Great location. Short walk to the historic landmarks but quiet to relax.

Fabulous accommodation with excellent views and location

Staying in the penthouse was an absolute treat. It is located on the top of the building and, yes, one has to climb four stairs, but this is absolutely worth it. The penthouse has a spacious living room with a comfortable couch, a functional and modern design and a large dining table for eating and working. Windows with great views of the city all over. The kitchen is very well equipped with all you need. Bathrooms are spotless clean and the bedrooms spacious and really quiet. The penthouse offers a large terrace with spectacular views of Venice, which must provide a great experience during the spring, summer and autumn. Host Andrea came to open the apartment and is very friendly; do listen to his tips on local restaurants because they are superb. All the rooms of the penthouse are in top shape. The location is excellent, close to all the highlights of Venice, in the middle of the old city with all the canals and near to boat station San Samuele. I truly can't think of a better place to stay. Strongly recommended.

I had a late evening flight, so it was a bit stressful to arrive at the penthouse before midnight, which was the ultimate check-in time. But with the kind assistance of host Andrea all worked out fine.

Incredible

Our host gave us perfect directions, met us at the waterbus stop and walked us to the apartment. Upon arrival he took his time answering our questions and giving recommendations for restaurants etc.

It was large, well equipped, beautifully presented, and in a great area - quiet but within a few minutes walk of lots of amenities and attractions. The hosts could not have been nicer - meeting us off the ferry on the Grand Canal and briefing us about everything important.

Being on the third floor, there were a lot of stairs but that was a small price to pay for everything else being brilliant, and the hosts carried our bag up to the apartment !

Steps are a killer

Wonderful stay and good reception by the host

We had a great stay at this apartment. I traveled with my daughter and the apartment was spacious and large for 2 people. The host gave us clear instructions in advance on how to reach the apartment from the main train station. The host, Andrea, met us at the waterbus/vaporetto stop near the apartment and accompanied us to show us the apartment and brief us about all the details. He even helped us carry our luggage up the stairs. He explained in detail about all aspects of the apartment and practical tips. He gave us access to the common terrace which had a great view. He was really sweet and polite and made us feel welcome. He even gave us suggestions for places to eat and dishes to try out. They had even provided us with complimentary breakfast consisting of 8 slices of crisp bread, jam and nutella, which was a pleasant surprise. The cooking utensils were adequate and coffee was provided along with the moka pot. The apartment was spick and span and everything was clean and white; 10 points for the cleanliness. The location is great. It's located close to the waterbus/vaporetto stops; it is 160 meters from San Samuele stop and 350 meters from San Angelo stop. It's also close to the major tourist attractions in Venice.

The only downside was that there was no shower gel and shampoo provided.

Absolutely perfect!

This property is owned by a wonderful Venetian family who clearly care about your stay. Andrea met us and showed us to the apartment and was kind enough to give us tons of interesting and useful information, he couldn't have been kinder or more professional. The apartment was gorgeous, really high spec and the views from the terrace where spectacular. The hosts had thoughtfully left a breakfast and the apartment had everything you could need for any length of stay. The apartment was in the most amazing location for all of the sights, everything being withing easy walking distance.

Great location, would stay here again.

Staff were friendly, welcoming and informative, which helped us settle in after a long journey. Although there isn't a great view from the balcony, it still makes for a great area to relax after a day of exploring. It is close to everything you would want with a maximum walk of 15-20 minutes and no need to use other forms of transport for the days we were exploring. Thanks staff for being so accommodating.

Keep in mind that there is no lift as is the case for most places in the area.

Great place to stay, Andrea was very nice and helpful and just a call away.

Great location, clean and roomy apartment with a terrace. Andrea met us at the vaporetto station and walked us back to the apartment. Checked us in and was very helpful with information and recommendations. He even messaged us back with some info we needed the next day. Stocked with some supplies, enough for our stay. Apartment close to a square with 5 or 6 restaurants.

4 flights of stairs! We were on the third floor, but ended up being 4 flights.

Electricity loading is limited ie you can’t run all AC units and domestic appliances at the same time as this will trip the fuse. The good news is it can be reset with a trip to the ground floor; so it’s not the end of the world. Just something to be mindful of and this is flagged transparently in the welcome booklet.

Big apartment, quiet location

The host was amazing and very helpful with everything. The balcony is great (there are actually 2 balconies, one is private and you enter it through living room and/or second bedroom) while the other is on the top of the facility and is shared between all guests. The apartment is huge. Kitchen is well equipped. There are a/c in both bedrooms and living room. It is very close to academia bridge. The small square in front of the hotel is actually empty so noise won't be a problem.

The biggest complaint is cleanliness. Everything could have been cleaner. The carpets the windows the mosquito nets, the balcony. Walls and doors are damaged on many parts. The stench from the bathroom in master bedroom was horrible to the point we haven't used it or opened the doors of it during the stay) There are a lot of mosquitos (which is understandable of course and by no means a fault of the host) but there are no mosquito nets on all the windows. Additionaly we were provided with anti mosquito devices but no anti mosquito liquid which we had to buy. The apartment is on the second/third floor with no elevator. The stench from the nearby canal is sometimes present (which is no fault of the host, you are in Venice after all), but this house is second house from the canal.

Beautifully renovated in central location.

The apartment is spacious and well equipped. Very clean and comfortable. Lovely to have breakfast outside on the large terrace. Helpful host. Although in central San Marco district, we only heard birdsong.....including seagulls!! Super place beautifully renovated to high standard. Close to 2 vaporetto stops on Grand Canal.

Great apartment, lovely owners, not always easily accessible from other places

The apartment is beautifully presented and has everything you could possibly want. The owners are friendly and really helpful - even carried our luggage up the many stairs when we arrived. They gave us lots of information that was a real help for our stay.

The apartment is close to some amenities but a little out of the way for a first visit to Venice. The vaporettos to San Samuele(boat dock) stop between 8pm and midnight, so it was tricky knowing how to get back. A really helpful ferry operator talked us through getting off at a different stop(S.Angelo) and gave us directions to our apartment. The stairs - there are so many of them up to the apartment(something to be aware of).

This is a spectacular, clean, modern apartment, exceptionally well located to enjoy Venice from.

This was an amazing stay. We researched a while for our Venice trip, and were lucky to find this spotless, modern apartment on San Marco. We received clear instructions where to meet the owner's son who walked us to the apartment and provided so much great information about everything in the apartment and the local area. The apartment was pristine, modern, and complete (even a dishwasher). The roof top deck had a fantastic view of the city. We had breakfast there every morning, and in the evening watched the moon rise over the city's rooftops. It is a real jewel.

We got plenty of exercise on the stairs.

Fab location, fab hosts, fab stay

Location was fantastic! 10 mins walk from most of the must see sights and activities! Super easy to get to as well from the airport. We took the boat which was €32 return and you got to see some great views heading into the city. Andrea came and met us at the boat stop and walked us to the apartment. He gave us lots of great tips and recommendations. The apartment was clean, loads of space and the terrace was a nice touch for having breakfast in the sun in the morning. Highly recommend to anyone coming to stay in venice!

The 3 flights of stairs was a bit of a slog after a long day of walking and exploring but absolutely worth it for all the reasons above on why it was a great stay! Just means you get a work out haha

Clean but disappointing for the money

Emanuela was very helpful with directions before arrival and Andrea met us at the Vaporetto stop to take us to the property which would be quite difficult to find. He carried our bags up to 3rd floor. The apartment is very spacious and clean. The towels provided were very soft. The location was good close to the lively square of San Stefano but you had to reach the property down a long dark very quiet alley which was not pleasant.

There was no electric kettle in the property for making tea - instead there was an enamel kettle and an induction hob which was very slow and to boil enough water for 2 mugs of tea or coffee took 30 minutes which is not really acceptable as it wastes so much time especially when you get up in the morning, we asked if they could provide an electric kettle as it was really frustrating and not up to modern hospitality standards but unfortunately the hosts sent a barrage of accusatory messages saying we could not be operating the hob properly which was quite insulting as we had tried all the rings and on max setting but could not get boiling water in the 3 minutes they claimed it took. It really is very stressful when the hosts react so badly so as to upset you as a guest. They did not attend the property again and Andrea had not demonstrated the operation of the hob. My sheets were cotton but my friend had 100% polyester which were uncomfortable Would not recommend solo women to stay there as the location is down a very quiet long dark alley and one night we were followed down by a man who stood and stared at us as we fumbled for the keys, quite unnerving!

Great apartment in central location.

The apartment was in a great location, it was a close walk to the Rialto Bridge and San Marco square but in a quieter area which was ideal for sleeping. The beds were comfortable, the apartment was very clean, and we enjoyed sitting out on the terrace. Andrea was very friendly and helpful.

The shower pressure could've been a bit stronger and the apartment could've been a bit better stocked. Other than that, it was great.

Fantastico

Ca’ degli Oresi is the best place to spend time in Italy. Andrea was very helpful and not only explained us everything connected with accomodation but also gave us a lot of advices when it comes to Venice: food, events, groceries, water trams. My mom and I really enjoyed staying there. We felt like at home. It must be said that our apartment was very cosy and has a lot of facilities for example: washing machine, iron, full kitchen, AC. We would love to come back to this place again. I hope Ca’ degli Oresi will never change its attitude to its clients, because right now it is excellent. Grazie!

Location was excellent without being in the tourist part of town. Outdoor patio was fantastic. A/C worked and was comfortable.

Had to walk up the steps. Owner helped us with the luggage, but that really is the only negative about the place.

Perfect place for a sightseeing trip including a day on the beach. Excellent.

The location was excellent and in the San Marco area. There is a local square at the end of the narrow street. There are two water taxi stops very close by and both go to the Lido. The appartment has two bathrooms, aircon and a balcony. Its a very very quiet plave given its location. The owner met us from the water taxi and showed us around the area on the way tot he appartment. There is a small deli supermarket next door and an ice cream parlour and boutiqu shops and restaurants. It has everything, even metal shutters for an excellent night's sleep.

Large, beautiful apartment with great roof terrace in central but quiet location.

Very good location very close to the Ponte dell'Academia on a quiet courtyard. Two bedrooms and two bathrooms and a very nice and quite large roof terrace. There is even a second roof terrace accessible from the staircase. Modern kitchen equipment, which we were happy to use. Very good Wi-Fi. Very nice landlord.

The location was perfect, within walking distance to everything and so near the water taxi. Silvia met us at the water taxi and brought us to the apartment which was so helpful and Frederico checked us out and carried down our cases the 62 steps. we had a lovely experience with the entire family, the personal touch meant a lot to us. kind regards.
