Lovely Mediterranean home near the beach

We loved everything about this wonderful home. 3 bedrooms with air con, 2 bathrooms with constant hot water, lovely outdoor space for chilling and cooking. Old house full of charm and character. Location was excellent, 2 mins walk to the main strip. Nikica could not have done more for us, a lovely person so warm and friendly, attentive and quick to respond. The kettle didn't work (we didn't mind, we were boiling a pot but I wanted to let her know regardless) and there was a new one dropped to the door within the hour! Everything you could need for a great holiday!

The only thing I didn't like was nothing to do with the house or the host, rather the booking process. We aren't altogether sure if our dates at the start and so booked the property for the 18th to 28th June. Then we settled on 16th to 26th as the flights were mush cheaper. There is a option within the booking to request a date change, but this would not work. I queried with the booking people and they confirmed the new dates were available, but kept insisting that I must cancel and re-book. This would mean being charged the FULL cost of the property to cancel and then be charged AGAIN to rebook. They would absolutely NOT change the dates from their end for me, even though it's clearly an option on the site and the dates were available. This meant that we had to go to another property for the first 2 nights then move to this property and leave 2 days before like booking actually ended. When you book this property it's done through a company called Bellavilla and not directly with the owner. Because the messaging process is so confusing I'm not sure whether Booking or Bellavilla is at fault here, but it was the worst service ever. I actually gave up and took the hit on the money for the extra 2 days as we really didn't want to lose the booking for this property. There were several messages over and back and they kept telling me to cancel and rebook over and over. I gave up in the end. Why is there an option to change dates if it doesn't work?
