5 Star Quality from Villa Alegria Cavtat

Lovely Villa in a good location - slight issue in that it was hilly but in saying that the whole area was hilly. The manager introduced himself. On day 3 I needed to see a Doctor and the manager had a taxi organised in 10 minutes which brought me to the doctor, waited on me, then took me to a Pharmacy then back to the Villa and charged me ONLY €20. Staff we met were so friendly and helpful beyond belief - 5 stars.

No real issues but our Internet connection didn't work for 2 days which mean we had problems contacting home.

Pero, the host was very friendly and professional, keeping in touch upon arrival and showed us around the area before dropping us off to our accommodation , beautiful views and quiet pool area…no fighting for sunbeds!

Spacious apartment, fantastic views, great pool.

We stayed in apartment A, which was fantastic. Very spacious and well equipped. Views over Cavtat and beyond were amazing. The apartment had two balconies, which was perfect - we used one to dry washing and towels etc. and the other had a table and chairs for breakfast and had a great view out over the bay. The host was very friendly and onsite if anything is needed. Plenty of space and sun loungers around the pool and it was never busy. Cavtat has lots of bars and restaurants which are a short walk downhill into the centre. Overall, great location and a very relaxing place to stay.

Peaceful and relaxing

Amazing pool with jacuzzi setting and the view is unbeatable .. Perfect for relaxing days in the sunshine . Plenty of sun beds ! No music or crowds- pure relaxation. Access to toilet near pool and communal fridge great for drinks access during the day . Apartment on high floor spacious with good air conditioning . Supermarket 5 minute walk away and a great selection of bars and restaurants in centre at bottom of the hill . Beautiful place to visit .. calm and authentic. Pero is a great host ..available if needed but never intrusive.

Great place. Great view would recommend

We loved our stay here, the location is great, so close to the airport and the walk to the town is only 15 minutes. Longer on the way back up the hill, but we often stopped for a refreshment on the way. The pool area is great, and the view is amazing. Pero arranged our pick up on arrival and took us back to the airport himself. Very friendly.

There were a couple of downsides. We were in the top floor apartment and found the stairs a bit much at times, especially when you just climbed the hill or forgot something and had to nip up from the pool. This apartment could use a little tlc, particularly the shower in the twin room. We have mentioned this to Pero. Overall, it was a great place.

The host provided so many extra like washing up liquid..There was air con and heating if required. Towel were plenty and extra for thev pool.Pleanty of hot water, Iron and .ironing board were provided. If you wanted to washing there was a machine.

Gorgeous apartment with gorgeous views

Lovely apartment, we loved staying here! Would 100% recommend. It's only around 10/15 mins walk to the harbour and 10min taxi ride from the airport. The apartment itself is great, it has everything you need and the views are absolutely stunning. Would definitely come back.

Fantastic find, great for digital nomads!

Firstly, the host - Pero was exceptional from picking us up from Dubrovnik Airport to making sure everything was as we needed. We were working remotely in the apartment (WiFi was good) and even had WiFi still down by the pool. The apartment was very clean and comfortable with a kitchen so we could make our own meals if we needed too - a local shop was just a few minutes walk. Cavtat was a beautiful town and so great to get away from the hussle of Dubrovnik. Thanks for everything!

Superb chilled out family holiday in Cavtat!

Being at the top of town provides the most amazing views of the old town, the bays, mountains and across to Dubrovnik. Sunsets were spectacular! The pool is a really good size and maintained to a high standard and felt like a private pool as only shared with the other 2 apartments so never busy. The unspoiled area of woodland below the apartment makes for a quick and nice walk down to the harbour but is mildly challenging! The hills are quite steep so allows you to burn off some calories but everything is within walking distance. Bus and taxis are also reasonable. Pero is an excellent host and very helpful and knowledgeable. Cavtat is a great location for a chilled out family holiday with lots of different beaches and beach clubs to choose from, excellent selection of restaurants and bars and has a great vibe. Good selection of well run water activity companies and boats trips. Very spacious and well equipped apartment that had everything we needed and was very clean.

Shame that our apartment didn’t have a balcony area but that’s a minor comment.

The apartment was exactly as we expected, the pool is very nice and clean, everything is available and Pero went out of his way to help us find our way in and around Cavtat. He was very friendly, helpful and always ready to answer whatever question we had. The apartment had everything we needed, and the loved the pool very much. The view from the apartment and the pool is amazing!

Stunning Views!

The outdoor areas, especially the pool area and gardens were fantastic! Clean, stunning views and ample room for guests. The apartment was well equipped with everything we needed. The bus service to town is excellent though we chose to burn off some calories by walking most of the time! Pero was an excellent host who really cares about his property and guests. He was friendly and very helpful and took us to the airport when we were leaving. Thankyou!

Superb

We had a great stay at Villa Alegria. It was so relaxing to be able to access the pool everyday and the views are stunning from the pool area. Our little one (10 mths) definitely splashing around. There is a supermarket and a good restaurant close by. We ventured down into Cavtat town centre regularly but didn't attempt to go back up the hill to the apartment with the pushchair; we preferred to bus or taxi it. Pero was friendly and helpful anytime we had any questions or needed assistance.

The apartment was smaller than expected but had everything we needed and was the perfect base for our holiday. We were very grateful for the air conditioning!

Great place to stay and relax.

Amazing panoramic view from our apartment and from the pool area, lots of sun loungers around the pool which was very clean. Pero the host was excellent, both before and during our stay, nothing is too much for him. He organised transport to pick us up from the port and to take us to the airport at the end of our holiday. Apartment was spacious and clean and great to have two bathrooms and washing machine. Air con was excellent in bedrooms and main room. Really good restaurant 'By The Way'and supermarket only a few minutes walk. Cavtat centre was only a ten minute walk down hill. Bus stop that takes you to Dubrovnik is only a few minutes walk. Really lovely place to stay and would strongly recommend

Minor point but walk back from centre of Cavtat to property is uphill, we walked but some people may prefer to use the bus (Number 10 bus one stop) or taxi which only costs a few pounds. Positive is that you are very close to airport so short taxi ride but, as a consequence, you hear occasional plane noise. This did not impact our enjoyment and I hardly noticed it.

The apartment was extremely clean and very roomy. We had a beautiful view overlooking the sea and coastline. The villa was situated in a very quiet neighbourhood making the pool the perfect place to relax during the daytime.

The town of cavtat was downhill from the villa so it was a steep uphill coming home. We had to take a short taxi drive for those that couldn’t tolerate the walk. Other than that, I couldn’t fault anything.

Absolutely fabulous stay , highly recommended

Fabulous host Pero, who met us at the airport and made us feel very welcome and arranged transport for us during our stay & was great at recommending restaurants & places if interest to visit. The property is in a quiet residential area and the views from our balcony and the pool are breathtaking. A lovely place to relax and unwind yet close to the hustle & bustle of the bars snd restaurants of Cavtat and there is s regular water taxi over to Dubrovnik Old Town The apartment was spacious and well equipped and had a real homely feel to it , and there is a supermarket 5 minutes away to stock up on essentials. Not really suitable for guests with mobility issues unless you are going to take taxi ( plenty of them & reasonably priced) as the property is at the bottom of a steep side road then there are steps down to Cavtat & it’s all up hill to come back The accommodation is on the flight path for Dubrovnik airport so there are many planes flying over - this did not spoil our experience at all.
