A very nice relaxed stay. Overall we very much enjoyed our stay and would happily stay again

WE loved the log fire, this was one of the reasons we booked here. After dinner it was so nice to sit there and read our books. The bar was never manned so you just help yourself and write down what you've had. We liked the relaxed vibe of the place.

Breakfast was good, although cooked eggs were also an option to the European choice they weren't overjoyed at having to cook them when asked.

A very friendly family run hotel.

I booked this hotel as I was visiting friends in nearby Menen, only a 5/10 minute drive away. I was the only guest, as the hotel was temporarily closed for the Belgium National Holiday on the 11th November, but the owners had kindly honoured my booking. I spent very little time in the hotel, as I was out with my friends from after breakfast until after supper each day. The breakfast was a very good continental style affair, with fresh bread, cold meats and cheese, cereal selection,tea/coffee, yogurt etc. The owners were very friendly and accommodated ny late arrival. I will certainly try and stay here again, if I return to the Menen area.

I am used to a king size bed at home, so the single bed was not as comfortable as I am used to. Tea/coffee making facilities in the room would have been nice, given my late arrival home each evening. In my opinion, nothing else could be improved.

If you want to visit Passiondale or Rubaix (which we did) this is a comfortable and friendly place.

The breakfast was not part of the online offer so was an extra cost. Very good food.

The owner provided a two course dinner on request. There was no choice, although she did check that we were happy with her meal in advance, so don’t expect an actual restaurant. The food was very good and reasonable value, although the cost was not made clear in advance.

Friendly, family atmosphere

The easy parking is just the red carpet for a great visit. The friendly, family atmosphere makes this a special place to stay. We were not disappointed with the breakfast option (which was an extra) but the thunder and lightning made for an exciting late evening. No opportunity to try the games - maybe next time.

The remote location might not suit everyone, though it was fine with a car.

A very friendly host - but see below. Nice building, clean room with good facilities and a decent bathroom and shower. Excellent evening meal, though not cheap, but again, see below.

The owner is very friendly, but seems to spend so much time talking to her other guests and 'regulars' that one is left waiting around for long periods. When we first arrived, she met us in Reception and asked us to wait a minute, and then spent ages chatting to a couple of people sitting in the bar before we could check in. The evening meal was similar; the food was excellent, but we had been sitting down for 40 minutes before it was served and when we had finished and had coffee, the plates were still in front of us, not cleared away, while she chatted to other people in the bar. This may sound petty to some, but maybe we're a little old-fashioned and like a bit of traditional service, especially when we are paying a not inconsequential price for it. We decided to forgo breakfast in the morning because we were worried we wouldn't get away before lunch time!

Great welcoming farmhouse hotel - large rooms and lovely family running it .

Particularly pet friendly , I stayed there with a young puppy and the owners of the location were so helpful- even setting up a local vet for us and helping sort out the appointment and associated paperwork. Really lovely family and cheerful even when busy ! Good sized rooms and our room cool in the afternoons- perfect if you have a pet .

The location a little out of the two local towns but fine to walk as there are footpath/cycle paths to both shops , restaurants and cafe .- about 1km or so .

We were unsure about breakfast, but ended up taking continental every morning, handy location for our trip to watch Rally Ypres.

It's a nice place with a view on the countryside and fields. Plenty sitting possibilities outside. Convenient parking and a nice guest lady.

We did not appreciate the 2 single beds sliding from each other the whole time and no air-conditioning in the room just during the hot summer months so very hard to sleep. The breakfast was probably lovely and large but unfortunately the plates were almost all empty when we arrived, all cleared out by a big noisy group of people (certainly not the fault of the B&B though).

Enjoyed very much our stay during a cycling trip

The owners of the house were extremely nice and helpful. The breakfast was very good, everything was delicious, especially the croissants, great variety. Very comfortable mattress! Nice and clean shower. Spacious room unlike other modern hotels

The deluxe room was almost flawless in our opinion - the only thing we would appreciate is a window mosquito net. we were told that it is going to be added soon anyways so the next visitors might not experience this at all.

Great breakfast. With a variety of choices.

Due to Covid-19 the rooms where aired with all windows open. Which was a bit cold to enter the room and many mosquito's in that period of the year. But located outside the city that is normal.

The Receptionist was polite. She did not make any comments about how difficult it is to say my name like the Germans usually do.

I am 191 cm tall. The shower was for People under 160 so I did not take a bath. The bed mattress was very hard and worn out.
