This delightful B&B is just what we needed. The room we stayed in, Purbeck, is small, like most UK B&B (and a lot of hotel) rooms, but designed to include everything you need, even a compact, ingeniously designed shower room. The decor throughout is beautifully clean, light and cheerful.
Debs and Doug are exceptional hosts: friendly, helpful and kind, and they deliver the most delicious, generous breakfasts.
Having visited Hamworthy many times when friends lived there, we appreciate the location – easy journey into Poole and great for getting to other places without having to battle through Poole traffic. The location of the B&B itself is especially good, since there’s a bus stop just outside, so you don’t even have to take your car into Poole, which is an unexpected bonus.
We also enjoyed a couple of hours relaxing on the patio with a cool drink in the shade of the umbrella.
The shower cubicle is small, but the fact they have managed to fit one in at all is just brilliant. So this isn't really a 'didn't like'!

Deb & Doug, could not have been more friendly and accommodating. They made me and my little girl feel very welcome and comfortable.
Great room small but spacious enough and all very well planed out. Breakfast was five star ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Very warm welcome from hosts and were a great help with our queries about getting around the area
We didn’t get a chance to use it but there is a bus stop on the doorstep with circular buses into Poole and back every 10-15 minutes and into the evening
Bedrooms were really nicely done with all the little extras : eg mini fridge with fresh milk and chilled water
Breakfast was delicious, well cooked and served informally in a homely and comfortable breakfast room
Check the closing times for kitchens at the nearly pub, however if you miss that we can thoroughly recommend Kings Fish and Chips takeaway 5 mins walk away
