A really nice place and staff but just needs a little attention to detail.

Location, bar and the staff

The bed was hard too hard , there were cobwebs in the corner of the ceiling above the bed. It happens to us twice with bar bills we had items on our bill from another group/table and we had a drink on a bill that was ordered but never arrived. When it was brought to the attention of the staff there was no fuss made they removed it from the bills. I think this was a genuine mistake.

Decent stay - could have been better

Good location and quiet.

Breakfast was disappointing. No orange juice. No yoghurts. Poor selection of cereal. Hot food overcooked and small portions.

Even though the room was onThe top floor which cut out a lot of the bar noise downstairs the traffic noise was disturbing so we couldn’t have our Window open. Next time I’ll ask for a room on the same floor but face the rear of the building

Short visit, meaning an overnight stay and business lunch in the restaurant where we were made to feel very welcome.

Clean and tidy. Was made to feel very welcome, and the stay and a business lunch in the restaurant passed without issues. When I mentioned we didn’t have much time for lunch we were seen to promptly with great service. Great job team.

Ideal for one or two nights

Very clean. Bed was comfortable.

Bed very near sloping ceiling so a bit dangerous if got up in night. Couldn't find a socket near kettle, but may have been there. Quite a lot of stairs up to room. Was told wake-up call not possible though there was a phone in room!

Lovely friendly hotel. Would definitely go back

The staff were friendly and helpful. We arrived during the recent bad weather in Aberdeen and they couldn't have been more welcoming and helpful and although they weren't serving dinner on one evening, they gave us great information about where to get a meal nearby. Breakfast was lovely as was dinner the following evening in the hotel

Disappointing - bar and hotel staff generally welcoming - kitchen staff, not so much.

Location was good, room OK.

This place used to be my local when I lived a 5-10 minute walk away a few decades ago. Had high hopes. We arrived just after 9pm, the kitchen staff were still serving desserts in the restaurant. Upon asking for food we were told the restaurant was closed and there was no room service facility. Asked again if any “Specials” were available, told no, asked if it was possible to have soup, or a sandwich, no again! Disappointing customer service. Absolutely no desire to be helpful; ended up with a Deliveroo meal being brought to the hotel. Also, terribly tight entrance to the car park; the previous car park has been utilised as an outdoor gazebo type facility - to the detriment of customer facilities.

Location

Poor lighting in the room. One set of towels for two people and it was that busy downstairs no one could give us another set. Booked a double room and we had two single beds. But the staff were nice. Breakfast was decent but one sausage, one rasher of bacon and a ramekin with about 11 beans was disappointing.

The room was very comfortable, tastefully decorated and very clean. The location was very convenient and although the car park was tight to access was very convenient

Great west end stay

Lovely welcome and room decor, room service quick and easy. Quilt could have been a bit thicker as was a little cool during the night, but it was very cold outside! Breakfast was excellent.

Excellent near city-centre hotel

Lovely room with everything we needed. Staff were excellent and helpful. Breakfast was good and tasty. The bar was gloriously busy for the rugby, which we enjoyed. A wee bit noisy at night, but we're country folk so anything in the city is bound to be more than we're used to. All in all, a great stay

The location was good. Not far from town centre. Good selection of bar drinks.

Our room needed some TLC. Paint on ceiling flaking off in bathroom. Shower area has mould in areas. Saturday night was busy and noisy. Wouldn't stay on a Saturday night again.

Not at all value for money

Coffee was nice, bacon and egg roll was hot

There was no fresh fruit, no cheeses, no yoghurt, no hams, coffee was served in a teapot, all items were individually priced as if you were in a cafe, wasn't offered if I'd like my egg soft or hard Not enough tables in the breakfast room for the amount of bedrooms so overflow had to have breakfast in the bar. Five of us had a meal, none of the meals were hot. After dinner I had a brandy, ice had been put into this, I was given another but no apology offered. I had another, again ice was put in, this time the barmaid took the ice out with tongs so I had to again ask for a replacement. We were asked what could be done to compensate for this and I suggested it to be reflected in the bill, this at the time was not accepted and for our meals to be taken away and heated up in the micro was offered! We didn't have time to wait and were hungry, when the bill came a percentage reduction had infact been made.

Made our stay very enjoyable

The staff were friendl and very helpful it was spotless the food was great the Saturday night we had not booked for dinner and they were fully booked but they opened up the breakfast dinner so we could be fitted in excellent service I will definitely sta there again and would recommend to anyone
