Could be a good place for a very shor trip and when they don't aprty on the boat.

Location The staff were welcoming, they allowed us to let the luggage inside and made the access easy

There was a party on board of the boat and the music and stomping were loud in the rooms. When I saw the music doesn't stop after 23:30 I went to ask them to keep it lower. They did so immediately but it was very uncomfortable to have to do it as it was. The rooms were very warm and although we closed the radiators, it was very uncomfortable to sleep.

The location is excellent - and staying on a boat is different, so much nicer than the standardised business hotel. Great bar too - with over 40 beers. But the best thing is the personal welcome and friendly atmosphere. I can’t recommend it enough - this is how hotels should be

Originality - sleep on river, boy was delighted. As adult I ver much value kind and easy-going attitude of owner and staff - all goes simple and easy, including mutual trust

Alternative to a traditional hotel without having to sacrifice much comfort

The staff was very friendly, the prices were reasonable, and the room was very clean. The Bootel is perfectly situated for a trip to Kortrijk city centre as well, and lies within walking distance from the train station.

The ventilation system was a bit noisy and the restaurant didn't serve breakfast due to there being too few guests. The latter was excusable as breakfast wasn't charged and there were plenty of options nearby. The window didn't open in the room because it was too close to the water level (this is after all a boat), and this wasn't a problem now because it wasn't too hot, but I can imagine that the one portable airconditioning appliance shared between several rooms will not keep the room from getting swelteringly hot after a shower in midsummer.

Allright stay, cozy room

The view from the boat was excellent, it was nice that it was different from what you normally get at a hotel. The tiny room was indeed that, but very cozy. Because of an error on Booking.com's website, the owners were on holiday and did not expect any guests. However they were extremely welcoming and set us up with a room very quickly. Excellent hospitality! Kortrijk itself was a bit sleepy of a town, but had enough to offer for us (food, sleep and food). We had an awesome breakfast at deDingen. I can really recommend that place, nice service too!

Taking a dump does not provide any privacy in this room, the bathroom area is not seperated from the bedroom by any doors so that is a bit of a minus point. Solved it by going to the bar's bathroom. The air was very dense and it got hot in the room very quickly, I had a hard time breathing the air that was there. There was no way to keep the room cool, so we took the AC unit that was on wheels and put it in the door opening so it would blast the hot air out and cold air in, also did that in the middle of the night. Not sure if it was our room only or not.

Dekbed wat aan de kleine kant (bij omdraaien kreeg ik het koud) Beperkt aantal stopcontacten (geen stopcontact aan linker kant bed) Kleine onderhoudspuntjes in de badkamer (schimmel kitnaat, bruine rand douchegordijn, douchekop zat niet goed vast dus moest je de hem vasthouden, geen toiletborstel, licht in douche kapot, mengkraag zit aan voorkant dus daar sta je snel tegenaan dat is onhandig, beter een mengkraan waar de greep aan de zijkant zit dan heb je meer ruimte in de toch al niet grote douche)
