When you go to middelkerke once, you never stop!

The Irish hotel The Pippers is very comfortable. You can speak english, french, dutch, flämisch, portuguese, spanish. All the people in the hotel are very friendly and polite. The location is exceptional close to everything, close to the beach, close to the train, close to the giant parking lot where you pay by the day. The hotel bar is made entirely of wood with Irish decor, the restaurant's menu is wonderful and very tasty. The owner of the hotel-bar-restaurant is an Irishman and a very good cook. We, five people and a dackel, ate only there. The breakfast included in the reservation is very generous and the English breakfast is very tasty. We paid for two rooms and we slept very well.

The floor of the rooms could have been better swept.

Die Lage im Ort war gut.

Sehr teuer, steile enge Treppen, Renovierung im Bad steht an. Im vorderen Zimmer mit Küche roch es nach Toilette, was vermutlich aus der Küche kam. Im Bett spürte man die Sprungfedern. Die Auswahl beim Frühstück war sehr überschaubar. Wir wurden zwar nach Bacon mit Spiegelei gefragt, aber bei den Brötchen lagen immer nur 2 - 3 Stück. Mal helle Brötchen, dann mal Croissants. Das wir als vermutlich die einzigen Deutschen nicht im Gastraum sondern draußen in Aufbau sitzen mussten, kann Zufall sein, hinterließ bei mir aber einen faden Beigeschmack

Urige Unterkunft mit Charme

Die Lage war top,man war relativ schnell am Strand. Der Irish Pub war urig und es gab zum zusätzlichen Frühstück auf Wunsch jeden Morgen ein englisches Frühstück dazu mit Spiegelei ,Speck und wenn gewollt beans. Die Unterkunft war sehr hundefreundlich. Zudem darf man den Hund mit zum Frühstück und ins Restaurant nehmen.

Wir sind mit Hund gereist. Zu den Zimmern 1 bis 5 führt eine sehr steile Holztreppe hoch. Ich bezweifle dass sich da jeder Hund hoch bzw runter wagt. Wenn man den Hund nicht auf den Arm nehmen kann ,könnte dies unter Umständen bei ängstlichen Hunden ein Problem sein. Ich weiß nicht ob es in dieser Unterkunft nicht üblich ist aber außer dass wir frische Handtücher vor der Türe liegen hatten ,wurde kein roomservice durchgeführt auch keine Müllbeutel gewechselt..!! Das fand ich doch etwas befremdlich. Vor allem wenn man mit drei Personen in so einem kleinen Zimmer ist mit Hund und öfter am Strand ist ,ist der Boden irgendwann etwas sandig... man hatte aber keine Möglichkeit diesen weg zu kehren. Ich persönlich bin da nicht so empfindlich aber ich glaube das wäre nicht jedermanns Sache. Um morgens mit dem Hund Gassi zu gehen muss man ein bisschen laufen um grünflächen zu finden... Oder man läuft halt die ca 200 m und geht am Strand Gassi. Das geht aber nur morgens und abends ab 19 Uhr gut, ansonsten ist in den sommermonaten das nicht so gern gesehen. Obwohl der hundestrand fußläufig auch nicht so weit weg ist vielleicht 350 m .
