The apartment was very clean, warm, and spacious for our family of 3. I liked the layout of the space, and found on the whole to have all the equipment you might need to self cater. The property itself was good, no issues. You could if you wanted use the leisure facilities of the Ibis next door which is a nice bonus.
The whole vibe from this place was off. This was a final night of a week away where we'd been skiing in Germany. We just needed somewhere to stay close to the ferries, and we'd stayed in Nieuwpoort before so enjoyed the area. I must confess that i didn't interrogate the listing because, most properties spell out everything you need to know up front in the main body of text. My first experience was about 2-3 calls which i failed to answer due to driving or skiing. I'm told these were enquiries to "make my stay more comfortable". I got text messages as well. Thats just not what i was expecting for a one night stay! I've NEVER had that with a booking, anywhere. When we arrived, i was greeted by a massive sign telling me it was going to cost me 0.90 Euros an hour to park outside the building. So, for a stay lets call it a straight 20 Euros. The alternative is to park outside the complex and walk in. Thats a ridiculous policy to have with paying guests. I don't think this is quoted specifically in the listing. Why are you making people pay to park their car with you? Commercial decision, not for the benefit and safety of guests. We were informed in advance that towels were not provided. OK, thats fine, we took our own. If you forgot, thats 10 euros a head. Make sure you take tea towels for the kitchen, because there's none of that either. I felt elated to see that we had been given the luxury of toilet roll, thank god for that. No hand wash though. Again, we knew in advance that beds wouldn't be made up. OK, thats fine. But why not? I suspect the phone calls i didn't take were opportunities to pay to have beds made up. Lastly, the pool was PACKED, we ended up having to walk away. The water was freezing by all accounts, so maybe we made a good decision. We paid 12 Euros instead and went to the massive public pool in the town and had a great time. So, my advice here is just be prepared and know what you're getting into.

Easy access, clean, spacious, all necessary facilities available, very nice swimming pool with steam bath and sauna included. We stayed there and commuted to Bruge Christmas market and found this accommodation very close to the motor way and excellent value.
Kids loved the bunk beds.
The only thing that we did not enjoy was the mattress on the sofa bed, which was not very comfortable.
Parking is quite expensive.
And a suggestion: a couple of tea bags, sugar, salt would not be a significant extra expense for the host, but greatly appreciated by the guests, I think.

The sofa bed needs replacement! The bed spring squeak with every move.

Friendly personnel, nice breakfast
Parking cost should be free and not 12 eur per day.
Pool after 20h was not adults only as staff failed to impose it, moreover the pool was the main raison to select the hotel

We did not stay in the end due to the excessive charges that the hotel placed after the booking. We calculated it would have been approx 50% more to have sheets fitted, towels provided, park the car and have a dog with us. These charges were not clear at the time of booking.
We tried to cancel both through booking and through the hotel, but the hotel was not helpful at all. In the end it was just not worth it. So we stayed in a lovely boutique hotel that did not have any of these extra charges.
I now see in the comments others too have had this experience. Perhaps it is time for the hotel to be upfront during the booking process.

Staff were friendly, queries through online chat were answered almost immediately even out of office hours and issue resolved within a couple of minutes.
Apartment was spotlessly clean and really well equipped.
Grounds and facilities also really clean and well kept with plenty of options for kids
The mattress on sofa bed was really thin so not very comfortable

Very clean and attractive room and bathroom. Communication excellent.
The main bed was a foldable sofabed. It’s nice to have a couch in the room for the daytime but in my opinion a good matrass is more important. The springs in the bed were painful to my body.

Excellent value for money. Very modern, comfortable apartment with everything we need as a young family.

They send access code to your email, self check in. There is no staff on site, but they reply on messages before 10pm.
The bunk bed is kids size, easily hit the head getting in & out, and you have to make the bed yourself, but this is acceptable considered the price paid. They do not have soap or shampoo but offered a box of kitchen cleaning stuffs.

Easy access with code via email. Comfortable enough with essentials for cooking and cleaning.
Booked the apartment for the spa area. Unfortunately it was closed due to problems. I bit of a disappointment as it would have been good for the kids as the abysmal weather restricted any outdoor activities. The lounge/games room is good. Parking price seems unreasonable and resorted to parking off-site. On-site is 90 cents an hour, including night hours.

The hotel has a restaurant, where tea, coffee, etc drinking beverages are free. The food is very good, the staff is very friendly. The pool is very nice.
The hotel is very far from public transport and many taxi company refuse to drive there. The beds are not comfortable, and there is no extra pillow available. The airco is located in the hall, not in the bedrooms, therefore it is pretty useless. No shampoo or not even soap is provided, and there is nothing available to buy in the hotel area.

Oh, there is nothing positieve about this place! Really!
Very unfriendly staff, very dirty, terras full of birds poop, broken chairs, very small room, very unomfortable beds, no bath only shower,
No facilities, we could not use restaurant It's always full, reserved to hotel guests, so if you want to eat you need to go to the city.
Chavalie de Lodder is very unfriendly she doesn't wanted to serve us. We were there just for 3 days and we felt us not welcome at this place. Just went once to the swimming pool but got almost flight with Chavalie because we were with 3 families 5 adults and 6 kids. She got almost heart attack when she sees kids.
Expensive parking also!
So there is nothing good about this place, beter go to ceterparcs or somilar where you have everything at one place and you don't need to go and search where you can eat or swim or do something else with the kids.

An additional charge for towels!! Car parking charges outrageous at around 1€ for every hour day and night! Will definitely not be returning.

it was nice and clean and well equipped
parking costs almost double as expensive as in Neuwpoort centre , that makes no sense. charge half that price and you'll make more money and all clients can put there car in a safe environment, it' s common sense.

It was all easy and straightforward. A good place to spend the night on the trip south/north.

No towels in the rooms !☹️
We had to pay €8 per towel which never mentioned in the booking ,!
Very small swimming pool with 21 people in it 😳

Plastic mattresses. No kitchen facilities. Nasty and belittling staff. Room was tired. Shower was a dribble. No larger than an average hotel room but states 2 bedrooms. Terrible value for money.

Location and room were okay, the electronic access code did not work properly and I had to stay outside in the car with my family (from 23.20 till 1.30 am) until the Ibis hotel on the domain found a housekeeper to let us in
an emergency number in case there is a system failure. They only provide aassistance from 8 am till 22. From 2201 till 7.59 the next day you have to see to manage problems yourself!!

Location was great, relatively near to the city center and the beach. The wellness facilities were very nice, in particular the sauna. Otherwise, new utensils and clean appartment.
Number of beds was sufficient, but sofabed not very comfortable
