Solo trip

Hosts were friendly, proactive and helpful . Location has been great for my trip, especially close to train station and town centre and seaside of course. Had a lovely seaview from my bedroom window, which has been the most relaxing part of my stay.

There was a noise of water dripping in the bathroom(I suspect this is from toilet flush) I'm a light sleeper so this became quite audible after a while. More of an annoyance rather than an inconvenience. Otherwise all good for me. Will definitely use again :)

Amazing Location and Hosts

Location was great with the most amazing sea and mountain views. We had room 7 which had a lovely bay window with 2 arm chairs. Wish I could wake up to that view everyday! Large bathroom with big walk in shower. Plenty of hot water. Toiletries available. Owners were on hand or a phone call away to help with anything needed. Pointed us in the direction of places we wanted to visit and were the nicest, friendliest couple. Tea tray, fridge and kettle and replenishment items in the hall to take as needed. We were lucky to get free parking outside or just across the road. All in all a great stay and wouldn't hesitate to visit again if coming to Barmouth.

Not a dislike as we didn't mind, but daily housekeeping is not provided as stated on Booking.com. Not an issue as we knew we could ask for anything we needed. We had a 6 night stay and did need clean towels etc. Most people with shorter stays probably wouldn't need anything. We were quite happy with the arrangement.

Love Barmouth, lovely place and people

Room was lovely, very spacious, beautiful view of the sea, bed very comfortable, hosts were brilliant, walking distance to the town, can walk on the road or across the beach, highly recommended, we will be going there again next year.

Relaxing

Room was clean and had all you needed for a weekend away, managed to park outside the accommodation which was a bonus.

On top floor, plenty of stairs to climb but that made you think I need to get out more. :)

Comfortable and cozy.

I really enjoyed how friendly the staff was. The beds were also comfortable, clean, and the showers were perfectly functional. They also provided water, a tea kettle as well as reliable TV connection and free WiFi. Very good overall.

I’m tall, so the bathroom mirror not being hung up meant a lot of awkward positioning so I could look at myself in the mirror without exiting into the main room. The lack of refrigeration was also a little inconvenient since we had to go down and ask staff to keep drinks in their fridges. Again, just inconvenient is all.

Perfect location, and very comfy bed!

Perfect location, right on the promenade and overlooking the beach. Free parking on the road opposite which was handy. Loved the view from the room, and the bed was really comfortable. Staff were friendly and welcoming.

Bathroom was a little "snug" (single room), and I'm not a fan of "chemi-loos" - but I can understand that these old properties might be a challenge to plumb? Also, kettle couldn't be filled from the sink, as the sink was too small, so needed to use the mug to fill the kettle - which got a bit messy (perhaps provide a small jug for guests, so it's easier to fill the kettle).

A pleasant stay, but with some irritations. The faulty front door could have caused a major problem.

The room was spaceous and had all essential items.

The lock to the front door of the property was faulty and several times the host had to come to the door to open it. This would have been most inconvenient if she had not been around. Also, near parking was difficult.

Absolutely fantastic and highly recommended!

The Seascape is a wonderful place. It offers very clean, bright and airy rooms (mine had a wonderful seaview). Tea and coffee facilities, greeted on arrival and was made to feel instantly welcome. Bed was nice and comfortable and most importantly clean.

Lovely knowlegeable couple running the place, down to earth and accomodating.

We know Barmouth well so we had expectations of a well run clean guest house, which is what we got, so bonus ! Our room was on the top floor at the rear, so the view was of the mountain and houses at the rear which meant we could watch the birds nesting in the chimneys etc.

There's nothing in Barmouth to not like to be honest, its a place to go to relax, eat food and use as a base to explore the coast, free parking is always a problem I am told but our guest house has its own parking and the sea front is 50 yards away where you can park free through the evening till morning anyway..

Brilliant location with views to both the beach and opposite mountains large room with clean bedding comfortable large double bed great size shower and toilet facilities had a lovely stay.

Minimal cleaning issues draws in room which I didn't need to use as I was short stay could have had a wipe over and glass table polished otherwise other facilities spotless.

Ian and Sue were extremely accommodating and knowledgable exceptional hosts.

view of mountain and view of ocean were great out the window. location was terrific - easy access to rail and walk through the dunes. Can take train either to aberdovey golf links or Royal St. David golf links - both are terrific courses - and to take the train back and forth makes the round extremely enjoyable.

Key locks could be upgraded; small shower in single room is for small persons; if you can golf you should have no problem with stairs.

Fabulous

Had a lovely stay here. New owners are doing a great job. Very welcoming, friendly and couldn't do enough to ensure we enjoyed our stay. Communal areas all spotless and decorated lovely. Bedroom was lovely too with amazing view from the bay window with a panoramic view of Barmouth. Would definitely return and recommend to others. Thank you Shona... see you again soon

Beautiful views & huge rooms

Great location on the seafront & close to town. Very spacious room with a lovely sitting area with a sea view. Added bonus of a fridge which was useful. A new lady named Shona had very recently taken over (4 days!) she was super friendly & helped me secure a parking space!

Parking is a little awkward due to its location, but we knew this when we booked, it would be very expensive if unable to secure a free space (approx £15 for 24 hours) which I thankfully did after buying just a 4 hour ticket. Rooms need a little sprucing up, which I'm sure Shona will see to once she settles in. The tea tray was filthy, luckily I still pack wipes as per covid time's, lol, & there were afew unnecessary dusty ornaments & tatty signs hanging around. But as I say I'm sure Shona will have it all spick & span in no time!!

Relaxing stay in a clean and tidy single room with a great view.

The hotel was clean and tidy, as was the room. The view from my room was very good. Sue was pleasant, helpful and informed me of how I could contact her if I needed to.

Only issue, and this was minor was that due to a broken leg in January I found the stairs a bit of a struggle. Sue explained they were fully booked and if they could they would have moved me to a room in a lower floor than the 2nd floor one I had.

Seafront view short walk to station and town

Our only gripe was the shower temperature was hot and could not be turned down to cool. Ian had a look and agreed it wasn't right but couldn't do anything for the time being. Although it is being upgraded in the coming weeks.
