Cozy winter stay in Barmouth

View across the promenade to sand dunes and the sea. Easy short walk to centre of town and rail station. Bed comfy and shower small but warm. Good to have a fridge in room as well as kettle

Room was nice, basic but as we only need it as a base it met most of our needs. The view was lovely.

The mattress was extremely uncomfortable, we had to sleep on top of the duvet to provide a bit more cushion and used a blanket as a cover. Check-in was upsetting as there was no one available to let us in when we arrived so had to wait an hour outside to get the keys to our room.

Our stay was great as always as we have stayed at the Sandpiper numerous times.

The location was fantastic facing the beach a lovely panoramic view, mountains in the distance. 2 minutes walk to shops, eateries, railway station and pubs.

Fab weekend stay at the Sandpiper!

Loved the views. Comfy big room and the fridge was a bonus. Location to the beach and town was fab just a brief walk. Tara was there to welcome us

Very enjoyable

The room was very large and the view was gorgeous. The on suite was clean and the shower was nice and powerful. TV had enough channels and easy to use and the sofa and coffee table in the bay window facing out was very nice to use. Bottled water in the fridge and tea/ coffee etc with kettle available.

one room had fire escape and no windows for ventilation/fresh air, & struggled to relax as key is available outside room “in case of an emergency”. 2nd room window didn’t open. 3rd room bathroom window didn’t open.

It was in a good location near the seafront, andclean and quiet.

They didn'ta do breakfast. Otherwise it was clean and quiet. It had a tv with a good selection of channels. a fridge with chilled bottles of water, plus tea, coffee and biscuits were supplied. Good location.

Parking wasn’t quite as expected but this was resolved as free street parking was available you just had to be quick to take advantage whilst spaces were avaiable.

Dated Property in need of refurbishment

The property was in a good location and very close to town centre and amenities. The entrance to the property is well maintained, but sadly this is not continued within the room, we stayed in the family sea view room and it needs refurbishing, brown water marks on the curtains, sofa stained, general decor needs replacing, as paint work chipped/cracked. Bathroom tiles clearly have been painted over as paint pealing off in shower cubical and over the sink, wall paper pealing off, towels ripped and well used, kettle heavily lime scaled We paid £200 pound for 2 nights, even though location of property was excellent but the room was disappointing, looking at different properties within the same location, much better properties available, so unfortunately we will not stay here again.

The Sandpiper was obviously a work in progress when we stayed, but this didn't at all detract from the pleasure of our stay. Good location and very comfortable.

Somewhere to lay your head after day out, no warm guest welcome...

Location close to town, beach and seafront. Kettle and fridge great. Plenty of room for clothes hanging rail. Shower size OK and good water pressure. Clean bedding. Parking available on road in front of guest house.

We would have liked to know there was a WiFi code available on the 1st day not afternoon on 2nd, as tv was not tuned in until 2nd day despite several efforts of landlord trying to fix it felt like we were being blamed for turning it on!!! Also front door sticking, both us and another family tried but failed to get in with either key so rang the bell but seemed this was an inconvenience to owner. Quite a bit of dust around door recesses and windows in the room that had been there a while. A good clean needed around taps base where they meet basin. Room 2. Could do with a few extra sockets or longer extension cable by side of bed. This is a guest house not b&b so no breakfast, thou we were advised before arrival just worth noting. Breakfast at the Milk Bar just over the railway crossing was great!

Friendly, clean and helpful staff

Location right on beach front. Plenty of parking spaces if you prefer to drive. The owner of sandpiper was lovely, nothing to much trouble, nice friendly place, had everything you need from a b and b, kettle , TV, free WI FI, private loo and shower, towels provided, brilliant , will stay here again

Next doors water works and pipes were a bit noisy but not enough to keep you awake.

Was in a back room overlooking back yard. But that didnt bother me, and I would like the same room again.
