Lovely nights stay, will be back

Comfy bed in a generous size room, friendly host.

Top floor so quite a climb (for fairly able 70+ and 80+ somethings) but worth it for the sea view. Accommodation only but a short walk to the High Street for breakfast. Really comfy super-king size bed. Very friendly hosts.

A relaxing and comfortable weekend break.

The view was amazing, the room was very comfortable and had lots of amenities. The bed was very comfortable and the room was nice and clean. It was ideally located to get to the beach, shops snd train station. Handy parking in front so I could leave my car nearby.

Lovely comfortable stay.

The room was the large one at the front overlooking the sea. It was very nice, if a little tired, but had a lovely feeling to it and was nicely furnished. The bed was very comfortable.

Although the room I stayed in was lovely it was a little tired around the edges and could benefit from a bit of tlc. For example the carpet was quite worn. But I'm just being picky as I thoroughly enjoyed my two nights there.

A lovely room and location. The single room with sea view was just perfect for me. Small but cosy. Had everything I needed. A little sanctuary. Nice and peaceful too. Thank you to Chris for your hospitality. Will return for sure.

Thoroughly enjoyable break in every way

Room was a good sized single with comfy bed and superb view. Own use shower and toilet in a next door room, no problem to me. Don't have enough suit at home. Very good location with ample on street free parking.

Great location and a warm welcome

Super location by the prom with great sea views. Chris, the owner, very friendly and made a point of stopping to chat and discuss the town, including a good recommendation for evening meals.

Lovely Guest House

We had a wonderful two-night stay at a guest house in Barmouth! The host was incredibly friendly, and the room was spotless and comfortable, featuring a lovely mountain view. The location was perfect, just a short walk to the town and beach. We enjoyed our time on the beachfront and highly recommend this place to anyone visiting Barmouth. We can’t wait to return!

A Perfect Coastal Escape at Wavecrest

Our stay at Wavecrest Guest House in Barmouth was nothing short of delightful. Perched right on the seafront, the guest house offers breathtaking views of the sea and mountains, especially from the large bay windows. The room was spotless, cozy, and beautifully maintained—perfect for relaxing after a day of exploring the coast. The host was warm, friendly, and went out of their way to make us feel welcome. We loved being just a short walk from the beach, local shops, and some great cafés. If you’re looking for a peaceful getaway with stunning views and genuine hospitality, Wavecrest is the perfect choice. Highly recommended!

Great seafront location. Beautifully furnished, decorated and looked after by lovely owners (especially the excellent Dave), who were helpful and informative.

Availability of free on-street parking is a bit of a lottery - there is reasonably priced parking nearby if you can't find a spot, though.

Great stay

Was greeted by a lovely host, was given the opportunity to upgrade to a larger room. The single I had booked was great for one night, so I stayed with that. Fantastic sea view and the room was spotless. Will definitely be staying again.

Breakfast not provided. But new this before I booked. Room on top floor perfect for me. I loved having the seaview. The room was perfect for what I needed very quiet, and over looked the beach and the sea. I was able to sit by the window with my kindle, read my book and watch the world go by. So relaxing. I also went to complete the parkrun to give me the Welsh flag and the Y on my parkrun app. The owner of the hotel was totally brilliant. Very welcoming. Felt like a home from home. Which is nice when your traveling alone. I got to meet his dog Dave who was so cute and loved being stroked. It was really nice to see the owner and Dave the dog out supporting the parkrun on sat morning even waved and said hello to me . Nice to have the support when travelling on my own to a new location. I will definitely be returning to Barmouth and will stay at Wave crest. Fingers crossed 🤞 I get room 10 . Really enjoyed my stay.

Wonderful Seaviews

Lovely little place. Right on the Seafront. My room had a Seaview and had a magnificent view of the bay. Lovely and clean room had all the essentials you needed. Friendly host who was very welcoming. Super value for money.
