Good location for everything . Rooms were nicely done , en-suite very nice , the bed is possibly the cosiest bed I’ve ever slept in , didn’t try breakfast as we left early

Let’s be picky - my room had a fire door and no window - did it effect anything - nope but I did get hot and fresh air would be nice but I still stay in that room again

Good location

I didnt like the carpets were filthy, table at breakfast sticky and mix up with booking on arrival.. but worse thing was we accidentally left a multicharger there and We asked if they could post it back to us and we would pay.. they said they would but didn’t bother 🙁

The location was great. Really friendly staff serving breakfast and delicious breakfast.The room was a good size and plenty of tea and coffee in the room.

Really noisy from the people outside, doors banging and music directly below us. Sausages tasted weird. Bathroom shower needs a good scrub.

Didn’t realise it was above a pub and was loud music until midnight and lots of shouting from punters. Stayed just myself and my daughter so didn’t plan on staying up that late.

lovely property and hosts, in fab location but spoilt by extremely loud noise and neighbours

Room was well furnished and I liked the table and chairs by the window. Shower was great. And bathroom was large and modern. Bed was comfy. There was a plug available by the dressing table to use straighteners/hairdryer. Breakfast was superb and staff were friendly.

Sash window allowed all of the noise into the room, which was so loud I had to turn the tv up to try and sleep. The night we stayed, which was our wedding anniversary, the pub part of the property below us was having a karaoke and this was extremely loud and there was lots of noise until midnight which prevented us from sleeping at all, despite being on the very top level. The noise then moved to the front of the property where customers continued to shout and scream at top of their lungs directly outside the properly until past midnight. Once finally asleep around 1am we were then abruptly awoken at 5am by a resident of the flats directly opposite, who was shouting, swearing and screaming. Overall I woke up absolutely shattered and not relaxed at all. Parking was also difficult as the car parks nearby did not allow 24 hour parking which meant we parked initially and then moved the car after 6pm to a roadside space which was available for free until 9am.

It was a bed for the night. I had to leave before 7.30 so missed breakfast and they offered nothing

Location was brilliant.

The hotel is basically rooms above a pub. The main pub was very tired. Smelt of urine. Very grubby. The stairs to the accommodation were in a very poor condition. Very soiled carpets. The rooms were of a good size and to be fair were clean but very dated.

Several things could have been better and would not cost much to put right. A dissappointment.

The room size and the location were very good. I had a good view over Barmouth and access to amenities.

The television aerial was not connected and looked as though it had been chewed. There was no internet access, despite me paying for a room with internet access. The door to the room did not close properly and had been fitted with a new lock because the old lock was not working. The original lock had not been removed. On my last night someone was walking the corridors trying all the doors of the hotel. I was a little concerned that someone could easily get in to my room.

Great location in centre of Barmouth. Good breakfast. Plenty to do in the area. Room was comfortable and clean. Staff were great.

Parking is an issue, though not the hotel's fault. Local authority don't seem to want any overnight parking. I did find somewhere close on Jubilee road. Some traffic noise but it didn't trouble me at all, it's the price you pay for a central location.

Location

The noise of the air handling unit on the side of the building is totally unacceptable. Practically a sleepless night. Staff member was asked to change the room . To be told property was full . Yet there was three rooms still available on booking . Com. I would suggest that a thorough fire safety check would potentially result in prohibition order being placed on the property. The cleanliness is awful. Saying that the bed was comfy and towels were good. This building needs serious money spent. Didn't stay for breakfast. Didn't want to chance it. . First time to put the boot in on a review. But all joking aside , this place is terrible in this day and age. John from Dublin

Great location

We were in room 5 which was right above the kitchen so it was boiling hot and didn’t cool down all night. There was a fire exit door but right outside that was the extractor fan so it was very loud if left open. We hardly slept as couldn’t cool down and no fresh air managed to get in.

Pleasant stay

Very friendly staff, great breakfast. And I needed an early b’fast one day. Asked if I could have some cereal and milk to take up to my room the night before. Was told it was fine to come and get it in the morning so I could have fresh milk rather than have it in my room overnight, as someone would be around to get it for me. And although I took it back to my room to eat, I could have sat in the dining room if I’d wanted to. Do need to ask to get our room cleaned/sheets changed/tea & coffee refilled etc, but there was never an issue when we asked for anything. And I prefer that sheets/towels etc don’t get changed daily when there’s no need.

Would have been nice if tea/coffee/milk was checked daily, or at least asked when we went down for breakfast if anything was needed.

Thought rooms were cluttered , and I didn't like the fire door that wasn't completely closed in the room . The entrance out of the hotel in the morning is by the bins.

Mixed feelings

The location and the people were lovely. The staff were attentive and friendly and very hospitable.

Unfortunately the accommodation was very tired and needed a really good clean. The whole building needs to be refurbished to bring it up to a good standard.

Seaside pub stay

The little touches. All needs were thought of in the room. Nice big fluffy towels, condiments, and assessories were available. There was plenty of storage for clothes. I liked the decoration of the room; however, I can see how others wouldn't as it is busy. Nice big, comfortable bed. Staff were friendly and approachable. Breakfast was huge and delicious. A star location ✨️; located on the main high street, so it's surrounded by shops, and is a hop, skip, and you're on the beach ⛱️. Pet friendly.

The fire exit door does not close properly. It's fine at this time of year, but I bet it would let a nice draft in colder months. Also, the fire escape stairway, if someone was to walk past the room they'd be able to see through the net curtains. You can close the curtains, but it takes all the day light out.
