Môr Wyn Guest House

The location is great, room ample space and with a panoramic sea and mountain view, a couple of minutes walk to the station, shops and eateries.

Storm Amy had arrived but it was nice to see the high waves and rough sea.

At the end of the stay Bruno, my dog, was hesitating at the bottom of the stairs. Hopefully next year I can go in the room on the next floor down.

Very close to the beach, room clean and tidy and had great views.

Home from home

This is my second stay at Mor Wyn in the past two years and we absolutely love it here. Our family came with a 7 year old child & dog. Barmouth itself is a beautiful place & we always enjoy visiting. The guest house is comfortable and very peaceful. The owners are kind & welcoming with good communication before and throughout our stay. The guest house is in a fantastic location, far away enough from the town to be quiet & very peaceful but only few minutes walk to the shops, train station & fun fair area. Perfect! It offers stunning views of the beach & sea, we could sit & stare at it for hours from the comfortable chairs by the window. The beach is literally on the doorstep when you come out of the guest house which means you can grab your beach stuff from your car boot & within a few minutes you’re on a beautiful beach. Rooms were comfortable and clean with all we needed. Towels and bedding were immaculately clean. There was WiFi and TV provided to watch movies in the evening. There is a kettle and a fridge in the room. Tea & coffee are provided along with biscuits, mugs, teaspoons, tea towel & washing up liquid. Big spoons, knives, forks & bowls are provided quickly if requested. There is no breakfast on offer at the guest house but we take yoghurt, cereal and pastries with us to eat in the morning. Lots of lovely cafes nearby too so it’s not an issue. The guest house also have body boards and kites for guests to borrow and use on the beach. It won’t be our last visit as it’s a firm favourite place to holiday & we can’t wait to come back. Thank you for such a wonderful holiday!

It’s located just a few seconds walk from the most beautiful beach, very close to lots of shops and food places, the room itself was very clean, comfortable and spacious. Free tea, coffee, biscuits and more were provided for us and the hosts were so lovely and very helpful! We had some car issues on the day we checked out, and they let us check out of our room later and also store all of our personal belongings in their room whilst our car was in the garage. Thank you so much!

The bed and bedding were very slightly uncomfortable, but apart from that everything else was perfect!!

The location was fantastic, easy access to the beach and the amenities. The owners were very helpful and the room was nice and quiet. The room was basic, but had everything we needed for a few days.

Parking was a little difficult, the side streets were very busy. A restaurant or bar on site would have been good.

I was in room 6 on the top floor at the front with an amazing view of the beach and sea, even on a cloudy day the views were incredible. Nice and clean and very spacious room. The fridge in the room was also a deal-breaker

Very comfortable, great location!

Location was excellent. Room was clean and spacious. Toiletries and tea/coffee provided. Room had a tower fan which was very much appreciated this weekend!

The view from our family room was spectacular, mountains to the left and the beach straight ahead. The 2 chairs in the bay window are well placed to look out and just watch the sea.

Pillows smelt a bit musty, so we wrapped them in towels and sprayed perfume on them.

Ticked all the boxes for us, we had what we expected.... good location, clean, good hosts...

The sea view from room 6 at top of the house was wonderful. Location was very good too.

Good value for money. We stayed in Room 3 which was huge and had a sea view. The room was clean and very quiet. There was a fridge in the room so we took milk and cereal for our breakfasts. We had plenty of information about the room, the work being done on the property and where to get breakfast prior to arriving so felt we were very well informed. The owners are there if you need them and you can contact them easily if you need to. We were aware of the scaffolding at the front of the building but it didn't spoil our view. Some reviews have commented on the hot water. Yes, it took a bit of time to come through in the shower, but this was explained in the information pack. You just have to be patient and remember it is an old building. We took our dog and as a bonus, the guest house is right opposite the dog friendly part of the beach. We had a good stay at Môr Wyn.

Not too far from the town or the beach. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Tea, milk, sugars, hot chocolates etc sachets were all by door easily to access. Our room was the first one so didn't have to travel up too many stairs etc. Free WiFi. Beds were very comfy. Shower was nice

Only issues were there was a very squeaky toilet door in our room and the window didn't have a good view but that can't be changed. Also the Internet connection wasn't good for the TV. Wish there was a toaster in the room

The location was very close to the beach as well as dining options and the arcade. My son forgot his necklace in the room and the owner was kind enough to post it to our home! Great service!

The shower was a bit confusing as the water temperature was unpredictable.

Dirty entrance, dirty carpets, dirty floors, I didn't actually stay in the room as it was soo dirty. White long hairs ,lots of them on the carpet in bedroom, dust everywhere. Half a toilet roll. Entrance hall was an absolute mess. I understand they are having work done but invest in a hoover and some dettol . I left without staying and had to go another hotel.

We liked the cleanliness and nice touches in the room such as , vanity unit and draws , hairdryer and washing facilities such as , shampoo , body wash and even washing up liquid , thermostat heating radiators and walm welcome ( extra condiments) , overall excellent.

Nothing all good

Initially we went away for the one night. This is a place that we’ve returned to many times over the years. Having spent a fabulous day there we decided to stay another night which is very rare to get a room on the spur of the moment as it’s always booked. The room has a small fridge which is ideal to store your drinks in make yourself some food, et cetera. The room was spotless as always plenty of tea and coffee as required and hot chocolate . You come out of the door and literally the beaches across the road amazing views from our room. We just can’t fault it. It

The room was clean and the beds comfortable but the stairs and stairs rails could have done with a good clean. We only saw the owner once so not very friendly.
