Poor communication from owner- once I had paid in advance, he did not answer my questions for months and I did not hear from him until I contacted him the week before I arrived.
The booking says he will meet you at the apartment, but he does not. It’s a locked box scenario.
The wifi was inconsistent and weak at times.
The accommodation says it includes breakfast, but this is inaccurate, unless you like to eat prepackaged, highly processed snack foods for breakfast. There was no fresh fruit and apart from eggs and yoghurt, everything else provided was full of sugar and carbs. It would be much better to either advertise it as not providing breakfast and make it cheaper per night, or provide a voucher to the nearby Carrefour supermarket so you can select the breakfast foods you want yourself.
It might look impressive in photos for Instagram to have all the prepackaged snacks and soft drinks etc spread out on the table, but I in practical terms, when you arrive after a long day of travel, you really don’t feel like having to move everything off the table and into the kitchen so you have some place to put your own stuff.
There is no microwave or toaster and the stove top hot plates do not work, ( I followed the manual directions exactly with no luck) so there was no way to cook the eggs anyhow. I only used a two popper juices and a couple of yoghurts, barely €4 worth,so you could hardly call that breakfast for 3 days. And yes, I could have contacted the owner about the stove, but then that means you have to wait around for a response or change your plans for the day waiting for him to arrive, so not worth the hassle.
The day before I was due to check out, I got an email asking me to give the host a glowing review, even though I had not even completed my stay there.
Noisy street excavations at present plus the church bells chime 100 times every night at 10 pm and then start again at 7:30am, so don’t expect to sleep in!

A very delightful apartment convenient for everything, highly recommended.
What a great little find in the middle of Calla Alta. Everything is so conveniently placed for exploring and although the apartment is on the third floor there is a lift which is so convenient after a day out and about.
The apartment was exceptionally clean and very well presented for a family of four. The food left for the breakfasts could have fed an army with plenty of verity. The beds were comfortable and the shower very welcoming.

Superb location right in the heart of the Citta Alta. Very helpful host Modern facilities - bathroom, kitchen etc. Comfy bed. Huge selection of breakfast things left for us - we stayed 4 nights, but it would have fed us for a week!! Really excellent apartment in a really beautiful city.
Not really a negative, but the building has what must be the worlds slowest lift. Amusing rather than an annoyance.

Booked us a taxi to train station for us for our early 5am start for bernina express trip.
Easy to catch the airport bus to cita alta make
sure you validate on bus at green machine.
Baggage cheap storage shop outside appartment if flying later in day. 5 euro for day.
Also can buy bus tickets from here for return to airport.
Lovely city to walk wander shop eat and drink. Great for a long weekend or longer.
Train station near for other trips such as Milan Verona or berninna exspress trip.
Would have loved to stay longer at this perfect city and perfect appartment .Would love to return in future sometime

Easy to reach city and the appartment by airport bus and a short walk or taxi.

Amazing stay!
The host was extremely easy to communicate with and very accommodating. We loved our time in Bergamo I wish we had stayed longer! The place is very easy to find and even has an elevator. it was super clean and bigger than expected. Seems like it has been recently updated. The host provided a huge selection of breakfast items. That was very appreciated. It’s also just across the street from a little grocery store. Highly recommend and I hope we will be able to come back!

Beautiful apartment in a perfect location to explore the Citta Alta (old town)
Absolutely fantastic breakfast, so much to choose from! Everything you could ever want on a continental breakfast and more. The location was incredible, right in the heart of the citta alta. Despite the central convenient location, there was no noise from the busy street heard from the apartment which was fantastic. The host was very friendly and provided lots of information by text, we could've easily text him if we had issues but we had none. We will definitely be back one day!

The information and food/drinks provided by Lorenzo was excellent. The location was ideal for the Citte Alta, surprisingly quiet too. The lift,although fairly slow,was effective and quiet (it will take around 70s to get to 3rd floor with 2 adults in)
An extra waste bin in bedroom would be good,as would a hook/shelf within the shower for gels etc

Lovely spot right in the heart of town.
Fabulous location right in the middle of old town. It was super hot while we were there and it had aircon in both bedroom and main living area which was really great. Cute windows look out over the Main Street and a little garden.

It’s the third time I have been staying in one of the two apartments on offer. Both are spacious, very well equipped, nicely furnished and very comfortable. Since the last visit also a lift.
The host supplies also a big range of snacks for breakfast, plus yoghurt, a bottle of wine, water and soda.
The apartment is in the middle of citi alta, very good parking close by. It couldn’t be at a better location.

Short break in beautiful Bergamo
Fabulous accommodation in the heart of Bergamo Città Alta, just two minutes walk from Piazza Vecchia. Apartment was exceptionally clean and comfortable with a wonderful array of breakfast items and plenty of toiletries provided. Basically, everything you needed for a short visit.
Our accommodation was on the third floor but the accommodation does have a lift.
It was fabulous to wake to the sound of church bells but ear plugs are provided if that’s not your thing.
Lorenzo our host was super attentive and provided us with lots of suggestions for places to visit and eat.
Bergamo is a beautiful city and has good public transport facilities so we were able to visit Milan and Lago d’Iseo. Our original plan was to go to Como, but a train strike on that day meant plan B. The tourist information centre 5 minutes walk away helped us facilitate our travel plans.
If you’re considering visiting Bergamo, then this is definitely the place to stay. We loved it

Brilliant apartment
We loved everything: communication with Lorenzo ( the owner), the location of the apartment, the cleanliness and modern standard, a good continental breakfast, a comfortable bed, a big shower room with lots of toiletries and what more. The apartment is right in the heart of the old town. Good transportation link. A variety of restaurants, cafes, shops nearby. Wonderful cathedrals and museums within the short walking distance. Lorenzo recommended us very good restaurants (we loved Da Mimmo most of all), provided us with all necessary tourist information. He is very professional, always willing to help. It's value for money and we'll definitely come back again.👍

Beautiful relaxing stay in Bergamo
Beautiful apartment with a wonderful host! Lorenzo gave lots of tips for the area and was always happy to answer questions. The apartment is so central and steps away from everything including lovely restaurants for evening meals. It was a real calm oasis to come back to after exploring beautiful Bergamo. The superior room had a fantastic view and you can hear the bells ring at 10 pm every evening. We left feeling really relaxed. We would definitely return! Tip: If you need somewhere to leave your bags after checkout at 11 and you have a late flight, we checked them into an independent locker storage just up from the apartment. We also used the tourist office to help book a taxi to the airport as taxis know their location on the edge of the old town.
WiFi was a bit slow at times but it didn't impact our stay :)

A nice stay in a lovely area. Great communication with the host Lorenzo who accommodated our early arrival. Fabulous location right in the centre of the old town. We stayed in the standard apartment which had a nice bathroom with a good shower and a good kitchen area with a dishwasher. As mentioned in some earlier reviews the apartment is up three flights of stairs but a new lift has now been installed so easy to take the bags up to the room.
The furniture in the bedroom, whilst perfectly functional, seemed just a little basic, as was the foam mattress.

A great stay in the heart of The old town
We had a wonderful stay! The location was exceptional—very close to everything we needed. The host was incredibly kind and welcoming, and the facilities were good. The elevator worked perfectly, which made a big difference for our group. It was an ideal solution for our extended family, as we were able to book both apartments at the same time. Highly recommend for anyone traveling with a larger group!
The apartments are a bit dated and could have been a bit cleaner, but they were comfortable and well-equipped. The larger room facing the street had some noise (earplugs recommended for sleeping), while the other rooms were very quiet. Also, parking is a short walk away—something to keep in mind if traveling with elderly guests.

5 star location, host and property
Lorenzo was an excellent host, in contact with us by WhatsApp and sending Google map links.
The apartment was spotlessly clean and there were so many snacks, treats drinks etc. Plenty for three of us over our stay. The beds were comfy and we had a brilliant sleep. While there was roadworks outside, it didn’t bother us.
The location was perfect. We will definitely be back.

The location of the apartment is just perfect - on the main street, very close to the main square. The apartment itself is cosy and very clean. The location of property in the Old Town (we think the best part of Bergamo to stay in) was perfect and really central! Lovely little view of gardens from the window.

Perfect apartment for a short break.
perfect location. on the 3rd floor but once downstairs you step out of the door straight into the centre of the Citta Alta. loved the proximity to the bus terminus at the top of the Citta Alta and the interconnection of buses and trains locally. from the airport to the door was about 35 mins.

Booked this property last minute after a flight cancellation left us high and dry. Lorenzo was extremely accommodating and had the property ready at short notice for us. He left us plenty of food and refreshments. The property was spotless, comfortable and in a great location.

Luxury apartment right in the heart of the old town
Amazing location- you’re right in the centre of the old town, on the main shopping street.
Quite a luxurious apartment in a very old building- they did a great renovation.
Comfortable for a family of 3-4 people.
They provided some good snack and drinks in the fridge which we were welcome to have.
Parking house is 4min walk away and cost us €20 a day. Would suggest you drive the car to the apartment to drop off your bags first- but ideally at a time where there aren’t too many people on the street; early morning or late at night.
The host sent us some great suggestions for food and local sights.
The breakfast provided was all processed and packaged cookies/ croissants etc. it took up most of the kitchen and dining table so I had to clear all this away so I could cook a proper breakfast for the family. I’m saying that.. I understand that that’s a typical Italian breakfast.
The lift which was newly built was not working, but luckily the host brought up all our bags on check in.

The elevator was in the middle of installation, so we walked up 3 flights of stairs every day. Some of the utensils were put away dirty and dishwasher wasn’t emptied out. We had to wash what we needed before use.
