Beautiful location, somewhat difficult owner
I only had one night and it was poor weather, so it is difficult to give a complete review. The views are beautiful, the breakfast is very good, the room is sparse but functional.
I found the owner quite terse, but that may be a cultural thing. I wasn’t really made to feel welcome, more of a necessary evil. There is a strong religious theme if that is an issue for anyone.

Clean property, nice breakfast. Staff taking care of breakfast was very kind.
First time ever in my life have I been told by the hotel manager to let him hold my service passport (which equals diplomatic passport) till the next morning. After my polite refusal he insisted on keeping it, which almost resulted in a verbal hassle, while he kept on repeating ‘I don’t understand where the problem is’. At the moment, I was seriously considering to cancel my stay there (which was very nice after 600km in car at 22:00 hours). When I checked out two days later, the same “manager” refused to print out the invoice, stating that the Card payment machine bill (yes, the small one) is THE invoice. Never in my life have I met such arrogant hotel worker - I really wonder what hotel can afford to keep such terrible person in job requiring kind communication with guests. Needless to say the rest of the staff was friendly. However, since I will travel to Bolzano often, I will have to find other place to stay.

Sehr, sehr gutes Preis Leistungsverhältnis in dem relativ hochpreisigen Bozen.
Sehr gediegen und gehobene Qualität. Die Einrichtung ist sehr hochwertig (klassischer Stil), das Frühstück super und reichhaltig. Das beste war der Joghurt mit frischen Erdbeeren.:)
