A cheap place to stay in a nice area to visit.

I stayed at the Brampton for a few days visting a friend in October , The place was a pleasant place to stay the owner was very welcoming and once booked in left me to it , The place is close to the town centre with everything you need on your doorstep. As for the room is was fine for my needs for what i paid i could not expect more from it i have everthing i could need in the room for my visit i would rate this a 7/10 for my visit. would i recommemd the Brampton, yes for a cheap place to stay with a warm welcome i would its not 5* so dont expect the world as you wont get it for this price but i did my needs for my trip.

The only negative i would point out is the stairs if you have mobility issues or are disabled you will find issues at the hotel.

Great location near everything.

Good location within a few minutes walk to the beach and shopping centre. My room was big enough with a comfortable bed. Coffee/ tea making facilities, TV, microwave, refrigerator and free Wi-Fi. Shared toilet and shower down the hallway. Marina met me on arrival and showed me where everything was and the way to the beach and town shops. Left alone then to my own devices the way I like it. Good value for money. Room cleaned on request.

Its nice place to stay on affordable, near to seaside & friendly staff.

Easy access in everything just by few minutes walk, by shopping around & unto the amazing sea side harbour, comfortable on staying 3 nights. with fridge its very helpful to make refresh in summertime. Its very affordable in budget.Very kind , helpful & friendly staff.

Its about the lock door its a bit flimsy, curtains seems old fashioned, under the single bed some iron metal might be cause danger if accidentally step on.

Lovely guest house and good proprietors.

Marina was very helpful, various types of Lyons 3 in one coffee were laid out along with a packet of chocolate biscuits, tea, and milk. The room included a refrigerator microwave and kettle. When I asked Marina to replace the Lyons coffee as I simply drink black coffee with no sugar it was done by the time I arrived back. Everything was clean including plates, dishes and cutlery. Hotel is just 200yards from the sea front and considering the very hot weather experienced in early July was cool in the evening and I slept well.

I am a 76 yr old man. The system set up for a," Home from Home," experience with minimum interference from the owners may not suit a more demanding younger generation. However it suited me down to the ground .

Absolutely awful

The property was run down and dirty, the owner was not there when we arrived, then tried to make out she didnt know when we were arriving, she did, i have the messages, she didnt give us our key and had to be reminded, she only worried about selling photos she had taken for an absolutely ridiculous price, the shower was falling off the wall, the sink was cracked, the toilet didnt flush properly, the mattress was totally worn out, my sons bed stank of pee and he ended up sleeping in a chair, everything looked and felt dirty, we couldnt complain as she totally disappeared, and the next day she was going to bristol, was supposed to stay 3 night, only stayed one

Worth the money for sure

Very close to the beach which was great. The host was very nice and accommodating.

The walls were super thin so heard everything, the shower water pressure wasn’t great. Apart from that it was lovely.

The strong smell of cigarette smoke in my room and black hairs everywhere. Dirty cupboards, clothes hangers (sticky) and carpets.

Great Stay

Marina is a great host, took in my suitcase early morning and also got an earlier check in. Room had microwave and fridge, also biscuits and jug of milk. Had single room which was plenty big enough with sufficient storage. Guest House in great location for beaches and town. I would definitely come back again.

Some areas bit run down and need a bit more cleaning, but otherwise was very happy with room.

Basic rooms but they have everything you need. It’s definitely value for money. It’s a stone throw from the town centre.

The TV signal was poor so we couldn’t watch TV at night for the 3 days that we were there.

Good

We liked the town location. The owner Marina was lovely. She tried to get our TV back on when all the channels went off. It was good having a fridge and microwave in the room, however the fridge didn't seem that cold.

The bathroom wasn't very big and was just like a cupboard. Needs a little TLC as some of the hooks etc where hanging off. Some of the light switches didn't work and some bulbs where missing. Was a bit noisy people talking loud outside our room early in the morning, most days.

My lengthy stay at your hotel due to my vaccination activities, turned into a surprisingly pleasant experience. Your friendly welcoming and personal service made me feel like I was staying in a home-away-from-home. Great Value for money .amazing host very helpful cheap and cheerful

Absolutely loved my stay Very friendly and welcoming. marina is lovely and helped me a lot with getting scooter in and out .got to meet caesar the resident cat along with a few other lovely people staying there .it's not that often that I get excepted but I felt like I was at home 😁 will definately be back. In close proximity to the beach and town and a lovely park too .

Shower could do with having a bit more water pressure and being a bit warmer. As it kept going cold on me .but I managed 😁😁

This is a great place to stay, and very close to the beach. The rooms were spotlessly clean, in a very quiet and peaceful location. The owner is very hospitable and a nice person. We really enjoyed our stay this summer in Paignton! Many thanks from the Malla Family 😊

Great little Guest House

Excellent Price and Excellent Location . 5 Minutes Walk to everything. Town .beach .Pier.train and bus station. Great Guest house come and go as please would Definitely Recommend.Stayed in room 5 with Tv.Fan.Fridge.cups.plates and cutlery.kettle ample supply of Tea and Coffee . Will definitely use this Guest House again.👏

Marina is a very nice and caring lady and will do her out most to make the place comfortable for visitors and rooms are provided with fridge and mirove microwave in addition to kettle and cutlery as needed .overall, you tend to have comfortable stay .

Exceptional

I was welcomed and shown to my room by a friendly and helpful Marina. The room was an excellent size which included a fridge, microwave and tea making facilities. There was also a TV and a wall fan which was much appreciated in the August heatwave. The guesthouse was a 4 minute walk from the train station and 5 minutes from the beach. Would definitely recommend.

Very enjoyable and satisfactory

Marina was an excellent host. She gave us a better room than we had booked and any needs were met immediately and satisfactorarily. All facilities worked. Room was comfortable and well equipped.

My partner is a cleaner, so any bits that needed attention were spotted. i did however point out that we weren't staying in the Ritz and the price was more than reasonable.
