Amazing views, great location.

The location and views from the property are amazing. Grainau is a really nice village and Eibsee is a short journey away by foot, train or bus.

Unfortunately our experience with one of the staff, Christine, was not good. We had communicated several times that we would arrive a day later than planned, even a month before. But when the day came, she was quite passive aggressive in her message asking why we hadn’t filled in a registration form, once we replied back, she never responded again. Secondly, in the confirmation message from Christine when we booked the property, it mentioned only 8 parking spaces available and if they’re full, use the street, no problem. But once we were there, she told us to move the car as someone has reserved the parking spot, we were confused as reservation was not mentioned to us before (it also costs 5€ a day). She again, passive aggressively said she has already told us in an email (we checked and this was not the case, no mention of a reservation possibility at all). Lastly, a code is needed to enter the building at night as the door is shut for safety, for some reason, our code did not work and we were stuck outside for 30 minutes at 10pm, no response from Christine, until the next morning, when she simply copy and pasted her original message without any concern for us. We were let in by other guests already in the landhaus. This may be a one off, but it felt like we were being punished or had done something to annoy her, which is not a nice feeling when you are staying somewhere for your holiday. Other reviews seem positive so I would hope this doesn’t happen often or ever to anyone else. Otherwise a great stay, it has to be said, other staff we met were very friendly, helpful and nice.

The parking spot is a bit small, but manageable if you bring small to compact car. Big cars might be a bit harder

The perfect place to stay with family. A home from home.

The room was absolutely fantastic .We had tonnes of space. A gorgeous , fully equiped cooking area which really helped us to feel at home. Our view was spectacular. The beds were heavenly. The whole place was perfectly clean and everything available to feel at home eg fridge, crockery ,clothes horse, wardrobe space ,lounge furniture etc. It was a small walk to Grainau -gorgeous little tiny town iwith a great bakery ,restaurant + info office. It was the best place to stay to visit the gorges,the mountains, shoping in GaPa, visiting castles, ,Eibsee etc etc. (And aldi was a v small drive away.)

We couldn't figure out the parking situation. We met no staff so we couldn't ask We met a nice gentleman one day that told us to park the grass but he had no English so we couldmt ask him what the situation was.. Other cars had marked spaces but we didn't know there was a parking plan??? We just put our car anywhere safely and out of the way but always felt like we were in someone's place yet we had no other place to go and no information.

Well organized, clean and charming!

We loved the spacious apartment and the clever built in kitchen. Everything we needed was there and it felt like luxury booking and popping down to the pool and sauna. Staff super helpful and proactive and the whole set up was so well organized! We would definitely come again!

Wonderfull time in Alps

No problem check in and out. Big clean room with bathroom and small but well equiped kitchen. Spectacular view on Zugspitze from big terrace!!! Great place to quickly get to mountain routes.

Ich hatte eine sehr schöne und erholsame Zeit in Grainau.

Die Wohnung war perfekt gelegen. Ruhig und doch zentral gelegen und mit dem schönsten Ausblick auf die Zugspitze und die benachbarten Berge. Es gab einen Supermarkt, Bäckerei, Käserei und den Busanschluss fast vor der Haustür. Grainau ist perfekt gelegen und hat viel Charme. Die Therme mit Sauna habe ich auch genossen. Alles ist prima fußläufig zu erreichen. Wer weiter ins schöne Umland fahren möchte, kommt von Garmisch Partenkirchen aus unkompliziert mit der Bahn oder mit dem Bus überall hin.

Es hat mir wirklich an nichts gefehlt. Im Großen und Ganzen ist die Gegend einfach ganz schön und daher sehr touristisch und mir im Sommer sicherlich zu voll. Im Herbst war das kein Problem.

Die Lage war sehr schön, auch wenn man vom Zimmer Almrausch keinen Blick auf die Berge hat.

Die Ausstattung im Wohnbereich war ansprechend, die Küchenausstattung ausreichend.

Eine Leselampe wäre schön, die vorhandenen Lampen waren nett, aber zum Lesen nicht geeignet. 2 Badetücher und Küchentücher waren für 8 Tage Aufenthalt zu wenig.

Heerlijk verblijf in Landhaus Steinbrech

Landhaus Steinbrech staat op een geweldige locatie. Vanuit hier hier kan je vele kanten op wandelen richting de Eibsee, Zugspitze of andere activiteiten. Het staat midden in het dorp en het is er heerlijk rustig. Wij komen heel graag weer terug!

Verblijf was verder super overal dichtbij goede uitvals basis

Lekker ruim

Dat er geen gordijnen hingen. De gordijntjes voor het bed zijn te kort en sluiten de boel niet goed af. Appartement is veel te licht waardoor ik elke dag om zes wakker werd. Echt een minpuntje. Jammer dat er totaal geen personeel te zien is geweest wat het onpersoonlijk maakt. Verder nog een minpunt een blonde dame denk van de schoonmaak stond van bovenaan de trap naar beneden te schreeuwen om elf uur smorgens dat vond ik niet zo netjes. Maar verder echt een aanrader.

Die Woche war erholsam und bestens geeignet für einen Urlaub mit Hund.

Was uns an der Unterkunft besonders gut gefallen hat, war die Terrasse mit dem herrlichen Blick auf die Zugspitze. Ein idealer Ort, um zu entspannen und die Natur zu genießen. Die Vermieterin war sehr freundlich und herzlich, was den Aufenthalt noch angenehmer gemacht hat. Auch ihr lieber Hund Smilla hat zur angenehmen Atmosphäre beigetragen und sehr schön mit unserem Hund Rudi gespielt hat.

Es gab nichts, was uns an der Unterkunft nicht gefallen hat.

Es gibt weniger Parkplätze als Apartments, in unmittelbarer Nähe aber auch keine Ausweichmöglichkeiten. Es wäre gut, auf die Parkplatzsituation und Möglichkeit der Reservierung vorab hinzuweisen.
