Incompetent and awful staff

It was a very unpleasant experience for us, the staff was very rude and racial towards us, we came from Romania with our family and we didn’t expect to get any of the problems that we had from our first minute at the hotel. The reception staff tried to get 300€ extra on top of the money that we already paid, without explanation, and they were getting angry because we didn’t answer their questions in their language, staying for hours to make them understand that we not going to pay extra for no reason , and in the end they said it was a booking app issue, apparently they thought we had 3 extra people who didn’t pay, and ended up proving to them that they were wrong, we had booked 3 rooms , we regret that we chose that place for our trip

Traditional bavarian hotel near Eibsee

-The room size -the decoration -the bed -the breakfast -the view -close proximity to Eibsee

-the bathroom (glass partition too narrow that water still splashes out from the showe) -the soundproofing (basically non existent - 6 am the cleaner ladies were outside talking in a normal volume but you could hear that clearly..) -the pillow - too soft and low

I am writing to formally raise a complaint about my recent stay during Aug 15-17. Unfortunately, my experience was far below expectations, both in terms of service and financial fairness. 1. Deposit Issue: Upon check-in, the hotel charged me a €700 safety deposit. At check-out, I was told that approximately €590 would be returned to my card. To date, no refund has been received. This is unacceptable and amounts to withholding my money without justification. 2. Service Failures: • During the night, the electricity in my children’s room went off, causing significant stress. • Despite requesting assistance, the receptionist did not arrange for the transfer of my children’s luggage and the extra bed. My children and I were forced to carry everything ourselves. These failures caused major inconvenience, distress, and left us with a very negative impression of your property. I request the immediate return of the €590 deposit to my card, along with a written explanation as to why the refund was delayed. If I do not receive confirmation within 7 days, I will be forced to escalate this matter through my bank (chargeback), the booking platform, and consumer protection authorities. I hope you will address this promptly and restore some goodwill.

Good location

Location was good for train link short walk into town. View from our room was fantastic. ( reception staff were lovely)

We had booked in for dinner in the restaurant, there was only a four course set menu with no other option. It was the first hotel on our road trip that we felt very English. Not as friendly as every other place we have stayed, felt like an outsider. Shame because Germany is such a wonderful country and we were made to feel welcome in every other place we stayed.

The hotel is very pretty. The views are good from the outdoor seated area. The staff were really helpful. They have nice spa, bike hire and plenty other facilities.

Quite expensive for any add ons. Still and sparkling water €4 each. There was mirror in bedroom which I found strange as most people like to have a look at who they are before heading out.

The hotel is located in the most beautiful area, with a clean view too Sugspitze. The staff is very helpful and service minded, and the breakfast buffet is outstanding. I can highly recommend a stay at the hotel.

Beautiful location with hiking trails right outside the hotel. The dining experience in the morning and the evening were delicious. Staff was very kind and helpful. Plenty of parking. Easy to walk to town. Bus passes were given by the hotel and was very nice to have.

Beautiful quaint looking property that has been around for ages but very well maintained and appointed. My second time back. Each room has a good view. Comfortable common areas. Good breakfast. Great location slightly removed from main Garmische area so quiet but accessible to everything in the area. I will defn return.

The parking lot is spacious and free of charge

The hotel in a beautiful village, location and view are amazing. Comfortable bed and very quiet room even though our room is direct near the reception, that allow us to have a deep sleep. The staff super friendly and smiling all the time. The breakfast is good and the dining hall is spacious. Ladies in reception were very nice.

There is no a/c in the room but that wasn't issue as the weather was so good for us
