A dream in the mountains of the Cinque Terre

We chose this borgo specifically to have a retreat for us and our dog in the Cinque Terre. This place offers absolute tranquillity, beautiful views and a level of comfort that you might not expect here. We had the flat with its own balcony and the facilities left nothing to be desired. Comfortable beds, very good and complete equipment. Yes, you have to buy something for a full breakfast (basic equipment is provided), but that's okay. From the house you can walk to the Cinque Terre (steeply up the mountain). We preferred the cabriolet and were in La Spezia in just a few minutes. There is also a short drive over the hill to the sea. The landlady is great. Her tips are worth their weight in gold. She takes the necessary time for her guests. THANK YOU! Note on access: no problem with all types of cars. The car park is not necessarily suitable for low-slung cars. You can drive up to the house with your luggage and unload it, but it's tight, but it works. However, there is also a short climb from the car park to the Borgo.

The best accommodation 🙂

The host, Francesca, is very friendly, she enabled us to accommodate earlier, gave us useful tips for our trip and prepared little snacks for breakfast, as well as very good wine. The accommodation in the old building with original ceiling and walls has an atmosphere and we also loved our little balcony with a view. The road to the town is very narrow and curvy, but it was worth driving here.

We were satisfied with everything. Just one thing: we saw wild pigs near the parking place, so be aware of them, when you go up to the accommodation.

Great historic apartment close to Cinqueterre in the mountains of La Spezia

The apartment was great, located in a historic complex, in a very nice and secluded area in the mountains close to La Spezia (15 minutes drive to the train station, we parked there and went to the Cinqueterre villages easily) They have a nice courtyard with mountain views perfect for having coffee on the sun or sipping wine after returning There are a lot of trails around for hiking Parking was easy, they have their own lot Our Host, Francesca, was great, in constant contact over WhatsApp, she was very charming and on top of everything She left a basket full of Italian treats for breakfast

Beautiful, quiet place with a wonderful atmosphere. The rooms were cosy and clean with original features of the old house. The owner Mrs. Francesca welcomed us very nicely, she described the surroundings of the accommodation and gave us many tips for trips and restaurants. A nice gift greeted us in the room :)

Marvellous stay close to Cinque Terre

The place is very charming and have a very nice atmosphere. It is a group of houses in a tiny village on the hill. The owner have installed many terrasses with cozy lights for the night. The owner is also very kind and they gave us many advises to visit the area.

A very welcoming environment, but far from shops and restaurants

The host was very nice, helpful and ready to answer everything about info on the area around. The building was traditional and the room was very cosy and brings you to another era in the past. Very clean and had everything one should need during his/her stay there.

Unfortunately the location was not as we expected. The road from La Spezia to Caste was very difficult even for an experienced driver, although it is a very short distance. Also, as far as the rooms are concerned, because they are in a traditional old building, you could hear noisy neighbors all day long...

We would love to come back!

We had such a lovely stay at Corte Paganini! Francesca and her husband put a lot of love in their apartments. It’s very clean, you have everything you need and the atmosphere is just overall very charming. There is a fire pit in the courtyard which is really cozy. The view above the mountains is great, especially as you explore Cinque Terre during the busy months, it can be a relief to be just 10-15 minutes outside the city, enjoy the peace and quiet yet still be super close to the city. The drive up to the house seems adventurous at first but is completely fine. We would definitely love to come back! We also got great recommendations from Francesca and her husband for things to do. Thank you a lot for everything :)

The appartements are with all necessary equiped. Short way by car (15 Minutes) to La spezia with free parking. From there you can go to every tourist spots.

The only problem was the lack of intimacy in the bathroom. The window has a tiny curtain and you can be seen.

Perfect hub in the nature to explore the region

The complex is a rural cozy house with multiple appartments in Caste, a small and quiet village located 15 minutes from La Spezia and it's a perfect hub to explore the region. The house is a tipical rural house with a courtyard where one can sit and relax or eat at some of the tables thez have with fantastic views to the mountains. The appartment was very comfortable. It had everything we needed and we felt very much like at home. The kitchen was very well equipped to cook your own food. Francesca and Carlo, the owners were super friendly. They welcomed us with a bottle of local wine produced in the area, some snacks, milk, coffee and few other gifts and gave us all the turisic information one needs to know. Our kids loved the place too and they had great fun playing with other kids staying there. We also spent some time walking around the house, collecting blackberries and exploring the nature. We got to see wild boars, a fox and strange spiders. We highly recommend this place.

A wonderful place to relax and feel good

The owner Francesca is a super nice person and the Corte Paganini is an extremely nice place. About 9 kilometers away from the next city La Spezia and up in the mountains at the end of a narrow street winding its way up to the tiny village of Castè you can imagine how quiet it is in this old house from the middle ages. Walls made of thick bricks, old dark brown beams in the ceiling, an old stove in the small kitchen and a beautiful view into the mountains and down to La Spezia from the patio where you can sit down at some tables for breakfast, dinner or a glass of wine in the evening. It's a rustic atmosphere up here and perfect if you want to escape the noise and stress of the cities. As you can imagine you can hike to the famous Cinque Terre (2 hours to Riomaggiore) or take the boat or a train from La Spezia to go there.

Simply lovely.

Francesca has been the most kind host and is trying the best to make your stay even more pleasant, be it to recommend restaurants close by (by car) or activities around Casté/ La Specia.

The stay has been simply amazing. The only downside would be that no restaurant is within walking distance but the kitchen is very well equipped so you can have your dinner on the balcony or in the lovely courtyard with the other guests.

W kilku słowach trudno jest opisać to miejsce i Właścicieli :) Lokalizacja w górach z łatwym dojazdem i prywatnym parkingiem, apartament z wyposażoną kuchnią, przytulną sypialnią i wyjątkową łazienką z widokiem na góry. Wewnętrzny dziedziniec do dyspozycji wszystkich gości, zadbany, komfortowy i serwujący piękne widoki. Właściciele pomocni, uprzejmi, dbający o gości bardziej aniżeli można tego oczekiwać. Żal było opuszczać to miejsce. Jestem totalnie zakochana! :)

L'host Francesca accoglie con un sorriso gentile i suoi ospiti, fornendo tutte le info utili per una vacanza perfetta. Il silenzio che si sente a Corte Paganini rigenera, immersi nella natura con panorami mozzafiato è il posto ideale dopo giornate passate al mare o per i vicoli delle cinque terre.
