A beautiful, quiet location with a wonderful swimming pool.

The venue is let down by its restaurant which is important given it’s relatively remote location. The food was poor and overpriced, and the restaurant had no atmosphere.

The location is impressive with a fantastic view over the valley. There is an extensive garden with roses around the house. They make their own olive oil which is very tasty. We have an electric car, and charge overnight was free.

Loved this traditional rural hotel in a beautiful old Manor House which even has its own chapel! Very kind staff. My stay was off season so a little quiet. The dinner menu was great value and absolutely delicious.

Perfect gateaway in Umbria inner land.

If you are a fan of agriturismo stays, look no further. Absolutely incredible location, facilities, attention to details. Perfect pool to relax by, plenty of paths to walk and enjoy Umbria landscape. Comfortable bedding, bathroom and small kitchen with enough utensils to cook a Michelin dinner. Attentive staff and super friendly owner.

None. I would pay less for a mixed salad during the dinner at the property but it’s nothing - landscape and greenery washes away monetary issues.

Not easy to get around without a car. There is a bus, which takes 25 mins to historical centre of Perugia and only costs Euro 2, but infrequent . If you stay in one of the Borgo (small villa) it is a steep walk up the hill to the pool next to the main house

Worst countryhouse you can visit

Unfriendly/horrible place. Owners highly unrespectful and unfriendly. We arrived at 5.30pm and could not use the pool because it clises at 6 pm! 6 pm in summer with 40 grades. In the morning the pool starts only 10.30, but the check out was at 10 , very strict. The place is huge with a huge park but nothing can be used as there are only three employees (the owners and a man). They told us that they didnt want to apend money in employees so that is why the pool is always closed. Never in our lives we felt so unrespected.

Where do we start? After many disappointments on this trip I was in danger of losing my hotel choosing privileges by my wife🙃. The choice of II Castellaro was a pure stroke of genius. The villa at the top of a mountain is gorgeous. Spacious rooms with beds that are a delight. The swimming pool is big, well maintained and inviting after a long drive. The hosts however are what sets II Castellaro apart. You can tell its a labor of love for both and they spare no effort in making sure your every need is taken care of. Whether it's an intimate breakfast for two on the outside deck or a sumptuous dinner by their talented chef, it's all handled with a beautiful smile and easily.

Posto perfetto per una vacanza in un luogo bello, immerso nel verde

Struttura in una posizione spettacolare, in cima ad una collina, panorama su tutto il territorio circostante. Molto esteso il giardino, il parco ha alberi imponenti e aiuole fiorite. Piscina al centro del giardino, perfetta per trascorrere ore in relax sui lettini e rinfrescarsi. Personale molto molto gentile, premuroso verso gli ospiti, pronto a soddisfare le necessità. Colazione abbondante con scelta dolce e salata. Abbiamo cenato nella struttura e ci siamo trovati bene. Consigliamo di certo la struttura per visitare Perugia e dintorni

Abbiamo soggiornato una sola notte, ma siamo stati molto bene. Pur nella breve durata del soggiorno, abbiamo potuto usufruire della piscina, immersa nei colli umbri, e potuto apprezzare la cucina, per una cena veloce, e per la colazione, tutto ottimo. Personale gentile e disponibile. Posizione ideale, ad un quarto d'ora da Perugia, ma tranquillissimo. Consigliatissimo.

Très bel environnement entre Assise et Pérouse

Cadre magnifique,très beau jardin ,belle vue ,calme et piscine très agréable.

La literie et l’insonorisation est d’époque ,décor un peu triste. Quelle dommage de ne pas profiter de la terrasse pour le dîner et petit déjeuner plutôt que de rester à l’intérieur.

La struttura è immersa nel verde con una vista meravigliosa sulle colline umbre. Le stanze sono ampie e luminose, ma è il panorama e la pace che rubano il cuore. Il personale è di una gentilizza infinita, sono superprofessionali ma alla mano. Ci vai per la location e l'ottimo rapporto qualità/prezzo, ci torni perché ti fanno sentire subito a casa.

Erholsam und zauberhaft

Ein zauberhaftes Hotel in einer wunderschönen Umgebung. Die Lage eignet sich besonders für Ausflüge in die Umgebung mit dem Auto oder auch mit dem Rad. Nach einem ereignisreichen Tag kann man dann am Pool noch einmal dem wunderschön gestaltetem Garten genießen und die Seele baumeln lassen. Der Blick am Morgen in den Garten und die sonstige Aussicht sorgten sofort für ein glückliches Urlaubsgefühl. Die Mitarbeiter haben neben der Unterkunft selbst den Aufenthalt unvergesslich gemacht. Das sehr große Zimmer war ruhig, die Ausstattung liebevoll ausgesucht und es war mit allem Nötigen ausgestattet. Auch das Frühstück war sehr lecker und ließ keine Wünsche offen. Die Abreise fiel uns wirklich sehr schwer.
