Perfect place to stay in Paraty!

We loved everything about our stay here. The room was perfect and clean, the breakfast was huge and had varied options. The location was ideal, only a 10/15 minute walk to the old town centre and we were given lots of recommendations of activities for all kinds of weather during our stay. We were also recommended the owners preferred restaurants for during our stay - we ate at 3 of them during our stay and they were our top meals in Brazil so far!

Our only (very small) feedback is that our shower only ran cold water but it was still manageable!

Stay here - you won’t regret it!

We have just spent 3 perfect nights here in a bungalow. It was spotlessly clean, comfortable and very private. Breakfast was served outside the room and was fresh and plentiful. The area was really quiet, yet only a 15-20 minute walk to the old town and closest beach. Lilian was really helpful with our very early check out and helped us arrange our transfers from Rio to Paraty and then to São Paulo airport at the end of our stay. We would definitely recommend.

Without a doubt, our best stay in Brazil.

All the experience was excellent and the staff truly care about their guests. The environment is well organized, clean, and everything is very clear and well arranged. The breakfast was delicious and of great quality. The location is close to the town, and we felt very safe throughout our stay. A very high level of professionalism, we would definitely choose this place again.

Don’t miss this place if you visit Paraty!

Everything was perfect, I love the location because the walk into town was so beautiful along the canal. Also, it was quiet. The town is bustling so being slightly out of the center was better than being in town. The room is spacious and clean. Great bed . Good water pressure in the shower. The breakfast was top notch and plentiful. The pool is beautiful. Unheard but heat is not necessary.

Maris Paraty is an Oasis in Paraty of calm and luxury. The staff are fabulous, breakfast delicious.

Maris Paraty is like a little oasis in Paraty. The property is very private and although we didn't use the pool it looked very inviting. We stayed in one of the Bungalows which was very clean, comfortable and the terrace was very private. The breakfast was absolutely delicious. All the staff we came across were friendly and nice, attentive but not over bearing. Lilian was very helpful. her communication was excellent. We made a mistake with one of our flights impacting on some transfers she had organised but it was all sorted out and nothing was too much trouble. we weren't able to re-arrange things as we were quite isolated but Lilian took charge and organised everything, thank you. I would very much recommend staying here. It was a short walk to the Old Town and the beach and for us the location was perfect. We stayed here for a treat at the end of our trip and it was most certainly that. Thank you to all the staff at Maris Paraty for making our stay so fantastic.

Lovely stay in Paraty

Great place to stay. The bed was big and comfortable with a balcony overlooking the pool. The breakfast in the morning was great and all locally sourced. 10-15 minute walk to the old town. Pool area was lovely.

A beautiful place to stay a stones throw from the old town!

The property matches the beautiful pictures in booking.com the location was ideal for us, a 15 minute walk to the old town centre which is full of bars and restaurants. We used a few of the boat tours recommended and I can thoroughly recommend Paraty Tours services. The wonderful owner looks after you brilliant helping you book services and give advice. The pool is lovely and clean and cool with plenty of seating and recliners around. We booked a bungalow so got an allocated parking spot on the grounds behind a security electric gate. Breakfast is brought to your bungalow table and is immense amounts of food. You don’t go hungry! A small minibar with reasonable prices is available with beers, cokes and other drinks and snacks.

Hidden gem

This place is an absolute gem. The property is unbelievably beautiful and immaculate. It’s in a great location close to the centre but tucked away so very peaceful. I cannot rave enough about how nice and kind the staff are and the sensational breakfast they prepare each day exactly to your order and serve in your room. Can’t recommend it enough, don’t pass it up if you’re in Paraty!

it’s a good 15min walk to the historic centre so to go there and come back couple times per day, can be tiring. Taxis are not that frequent in Paraty. The hotel is lovely, decoration and comfort. Breakfast is amazing, but to pay extra for an espresso from a super basic Nespresso machine, seems a bit too much taking in consideration the hotel daily rate. Suggestion: either offer or remove it, but to charge? It looked very greedy!

The hosts were so helpful and kind. The gardens and pool were great. The breakfast on our balcony was fantastic. Beautiful walk into town. We had a very early check-out and we were given a picnic for the road and a breakfast specially made for us to put in our fridge the night before. Thank you for looking after us so well.

Exceptional

We loved our stay at Maris! Maris is an oasis just ten minutes walking from the historical center of Paraty. We felt completely safe walking to and from even after dinner in the dark. The walk itself is gorgeous down the canal and gives you an opportunity to see something outside the historic center and sleep in a quiet area. We ended up parking inside the property as other guests didn't have a car but if we were to park on the street there would have been plenty of parking and we would have felt safe doing so. The facility is even nicer than the photos. The pool was amazing and the grounds as a whole were extremely peaceful. Comfortable and large room. Breakfast was amazing every single day. The staff was also kind and attentive to anything we needed! We would highly recommend staying at Maris and would book again if we are ever back in Paraty! - Francine & Kai

One of the most amazing stays EVER. Totally recommend it!

- best stay in Brazil (we've even stayed at a 5 stars hotel in Rio, but Maris Paraty was waaaay better and nicer and cleaner) - extremely clean and nicely decorated room - excellent breakfast - excellent services - amazing hosts - beautiful yard - excellent location - far from the noise of the old city, but at a 10 mins walk from it in a safe and nice neighborhood. - everything is very well organized - Lilian has assembled a city guide for her guests and I must confess it was very useful - hand picked restaurant recommendations, tips and tricks, what to do in Paraty and so on. Lilian and the other lady (sorry, I've missed her name) are really something special. <3 - we felt like home here So thank you for everything!
