Everything about the property was absolutely fantastic. The rooms were great, breakfast was fabulous and the staff were kind and accomodating.
We stayed in room 4 and it was extremely hot. Even with the fan on we barely slept. There was no air movement or air conditioning.

Hotel has been beautifully converted to a very high specification. Room was very clean and spacious, bathroom was spotless with high quality soap/shampoo/conditioner and soft towels. Also well equipped with hairdryer, fan, fridge, iron and board. There was a heatwave during my stay and my room was in the roof but with the fan working it was possible to sleep. Special mention to the staff (adult children of owners?) who were very welcoming and helpful.
Not a criticism as such as the hotel is very upfront about the steep staircases - this is Amsterdam after all!- and has installed additional wall handles to help your descent, but be aware! Also, while beautifully presented in the lovely dining room (former station waiting room), the breakfast at 24 euros is simply overpriced.

It was a historical interesting building.
It was right next door to a bar and it was so loud until early morning. The room didn’t have an AC so we needed to open the windows so it was too loud to sleep.
