Luxe B&B "In de Schulp", ontspan en geniet van comfort en stijl

This B&B “De Schulp” in Amstelveen really is a special place! Caroline is an extraordinary host and makes the stay at the apartment wonderful. Breakfast is gorgeous: croissants, fresh rolls, (varieties of) eggs, fruit, muesli, cheese and vegetables. Plus freshly squeezed orange juice,… Even before arrival, Caroline informs about the location and helps with useful advice (like booking modalities of the different Amsterdam museums). This was absolutely nice! At arrival, we even got a birthday cake! In addition, there is a fridge (with freezer compartment) – so buying cheese for home is no problem, for example, and Caroline offers drinks as a welcome as well! I liked the fully-equipped kitchenette though we have not made much use of it. There is a Nespresso coffee machine and everything there from corkscrew, lighter and scissors to an absolutely sufficient number of plates, cutlery and so on. And just in case: I had the feeling that Caroline is available 24/7 for her guests and she will organize whatever is missing 😊 The bed is very comfortable and the wardrobe spacious. We could even store our emptied suitcases in there so they were not in the way. Besides, everything was absolutely clean. The B&B is located in a private, calm neighbourhood and the car can be parked on the property safely. The apartment has a separate entrance and also a terrace which is separated from the rest of the garden by hedges – so you can enjoy a very private atmosphere. The next tram stop is just a five minute walk (Onderuit) and you can either take the “5” directly to the “Museumsplein” or “25/5” via “Zuid” to the central station. This is very convenient. Don’t forget to install the “9292” app for buying the ticket online if you do not (want to) use ApplePay or if your bank card does not support mobile payment. Caroline helped us find some nice restaurants and you can rely on her advice! Thanks once more! In short: Absolutely recommendable and a place to come back!

The welcoming atmosphere and our hosts fantastic efforts to make our time in Amsterdam the best possible. Good information and recommendations regarding restaurants and things to do. The apartment was very fresh, well cleaned and quiet. Nice with a private spot in the garden. The breakfast was fantastic. Good communication to central Amsterdam, 5 minutes walk to the tram.

The kitchen didn’t have proper stovetops, so it was difficult to cook your own dinner. You could only warm up things with the microwave/oven. And there where only a Nespresso-machine, not a regular coffeemaker with filter. But of course, different guests - different wishes.

Caroline is a great host who puts her guests first with several personal touches such as drinks in the fridge. She was so helpful providing information about the area. The accommodation is stylish yet comfortable. The bed was very comfortable! Everything was very clean and tidy and a lot of care and thought put into the facilities. Breakfast was fresh and delicious with plenty available. We liked the fact that our car was safely off the street. Although we drove to Keukenhof we took the tram into Amsterdam which was cheap and easy. We would happily recommend this accommodation.

First of all sorry Carolina for the delay :-) The structure is consistent with the description offered, the tranquility is amazing. Easy to reach both the center of Amsterdam with tram 5, it is recommended to use multi-day passes with GBV, and the center of Amstelveen where there is a good shopping centre. Caroline's willingness to help you organize your stay is excellent, as is the excellent breakfast that Caroline prepares for you every morning. I highly recommend the facility.

B&B In de Schulp was a real gem in the Amsterdam area! After booking the place we were already coming with high expectations, but the place and the host managed to exceed everything that we were expecting! The place is flawlesly clean, wonderful decorated and furnished with high quality furniture. We loved the bed so much it was very hard to get up every morning. The host Caroline prepared every day fresh and wonderful breakfast, and greeted us on arrival with some cake, snacks and wine! Amstelveen is very well connected with thr center of Amsterdam, with the tram you can come directly to the Museum Quarter, it was very easy to get around. We hope we will come back some time. 🙂
