Home away from home!

We loved our stay at Rooms Monika. Perfect location with bus stop nearby. Great room, clean and bed was big and very comfy. The hosts were helpful, friendly and so wonderful!! We would recommend this place highly to anyone staying in Dubrovnik!

Lovely stay

Lovely property, conveniently located right next to the bus stop (otherwise it is a very steep walk up stairs/hill). The owners were lovely to deal with and they provided amazing amenities like tea, coffee and toiletries. I also appreciated that the ports are conveniently located on the bedside table and have USB A slots.

Very nice place to stay.

The room was very comfortable and very well situated next to a bus stop that took us right into the old town or to the main bus station. We had comfy beds, hot showers, and a mini fridge.

Our hostess didn't recommend climbing the stairs up from the main bus station but we did it once anyway. It was a long ways up and very steep. We didn't do that again.

A stunning view but no kitchen, food forbidden in the room

I never met duing my 4-night stay this 'extremely friendly lady' whom everyone is talking about in the reviews for this property. Initially I did not feel welcomed. There is no kitchen (although mentioned in property facilities) and food is forbidden in the room which I find a little harsh, although maybe to avoid ants coming into the room. The double room is rather small. The air con was noisy. The property's location is not very convenient. It is sort of above the bus station/ferry port area. Going down the steps, it takes only about 10-15 minutes to this area but climbing up would be quite tough. The no.3 Line bus stop is right at the bottom of this property but its service is half-hourly during the day and its route quite convoluted. If you arrive at the main bus station, buy a bus ticket at the station and take the no.3 from near Bay 8.

Amazing views.

The views from the balcony were amazing. AC was nice and cold. Bed and pillows were comfortable. Overall a great room, and the owner could not be more kind.

Tough climb up from the ferry if you are walking, fortunately taxi is an option and the bus stop is right outside the place (24h bus pass for under 6 euro.)

Parking available. Comfy bed and sitting area outside. Greeted with a glass of cold white wine by the extremely nice owner. Small frig in room. Small bathroom but was fine. Bus stop a few steps away. Took bus to city center as we know parking is a nightmare. Very easy and inexpensive.

A place with a great view and good location

Location and the view were 10/10 - very easily accessible with car/Uber and the bus stop is just next to the place. The view was very unique and beautiful. Air conditioning worked well. The owner is very nice and helpful. There was a big closet and a fridge in the room.

There were ants in the bathroom. For us it didn´t feel so private on the balcony as it gets crowded/noisy outside during the evenings. There was no air conditioning in the bathroom (only a small vent which was connected to the outside) so the room itself was nice and cool (with the air conditioning), but the bathroom was warm. The shower area was quite small. The interior of the place was a bit old/vintage. The WiFi connection was sometimes bad.

Out of our two week holiday in the Balkans this was the most expensive (per night) stay, and we did not think it was great value for money. The room was not very clean and there were ants everywhere. The shower drain was so clogged that it ran over when we tried to take a shower. The owner lives in the building and as we approached them with this issue late at night the owner's son told us to unclog the drain ourselves as "it is our shower". The owner himself however was very fast to come and help us once he heard there was a problem. We paid for a room with a balcony, and it turned out that the balcony is located in a different building, which was not the most convenient. All in all this was not the most pleasant experience and if you're looking for great value for money would urge you to look elsewhere.

Exceptional

The host was extremely helpful and made it a top priority that our stay would be the best it could be. Stephen surprised us with a glass of homemade wine and spirits as we shared stories of various experiences we have endured. The view from the balcony was spectacular and breathtaking 😍 . I would most certainly recommend this apartment to friends and family should they visit Dubrovnik in the future. Note Bus #3 into town is right in front of the apartment and takes 15 min costing 2 euro.

Actually, the room is quite small, but nice, hosts are nice, everything was okay, but...

The blanket was not warm enough. In October, one would expect a warmer blanket when the nights already get a little colder... After the first night, I had sore throat in the morning, because I was cold during the night. It got worse over some time, of course. Now I'm in the middle of my holiday, laying in bed, sick...sure, I would give a higher ranking, but this kinda ruined our holidays...

Perfect stay with a steap hill 🤣

The facilities were amazing. Anything you'd possible want in a bathroom was there, shaving foam, hair gel, razors, make up remover etc.. The room was lovely and clean and the view was to die for.

If you are in any way unfit.this is not for you. The place is situated on a very very steap hill! But there's a bus station right outside the place that brings you into the old town and back!

climb stairs, it was really hard to go there from station. it was 40 minutes walking distance to the center and sometimes up hill. I recommend use a bus , but the schedule is really weird. once by hour.
