Excellent authentic chateau, very nice and quiet with great views. Super nice host, very good breakfast (charged separately). Nice shower.
It might be a little cold in the chateau in winter.

Proximity to Amboise. The unusual nature and charm of the location and the accommodation. The helpful staff.
The very narrow vehicular entrance to the courtyard - but you get used to it.

Old world charm and quaint rooms.
Our room was up some very narrow stairs, which was difficult with cases. There was not enough clear signage, as to where the Chateaux was and the driveway awkward.

The room was as described and the property is lovely. There are some modern touches, and it is very comfortable, but the overall vibe is historic. The staff are lovely
I liked everything, but just a warning that taller people need to duck sometimes! Our bathroom had a beam near the entry that could have done some damage!

nothing, I recommend this place and hopefully will have a chance to return!

The property was beautiful. The history of the property is fascinating. The host was very kind and helpful. We enjoyed the breakfast each morning. We enjoyed our stay. Property is a short ride into town.
Unfortunately it was very wet during our stay in the valley, which made it difficult to fully appreciate all the benefits of the property.

The property and location are very nice, you can relax and have a nice time especially for vacations.
Unfortunately, one day our room was not cleaned, and when we claimed about this the answer was “the girls forgot to clean the room”. So after that, the experience was not the best.

This is really cool old Chateau; we stayed in the troglodyte suite, it was truly unique. It was naturally cool, a bit too humid, but liveable. Need to pack light since there’s a set of stone stairs to get to the suite. Beautiful view from an outside soaking tank. Really good breakfast.
It’s part of the uniqueness, but the stairs are somewhat uneven.

Lovely, quiet property with a number of different sized self contained units, some of which are built into the side of the rockface. Nice size swimming pool, although we didn’t use this facility as the weather was fairly cool and it is unheated.
Staff were very helpful and approachable and happy to make restaurant reservations for you, if desired. Breakfast is available onsite at an additional cost but we didn’t take this up as we are not big breakfast eaters.
Liked the eco friendly toiletries provided and the disposable slippers. Nespresso coffee machine provided with a couple of pods too.
Not much that’s negative to say. Only that we had the family annex and the downstairs toilet had an unpleasant odour.

Victoria and staff are fantastic and went well out of their way to ensure we had a great time. We rented the annex which was much more than needed for 2 adults, but we enjoyed the kitchen to be able to prepare a few meals at home. The swimming pool felt wonderfully refreshing after a long day in the sun and 80 degree temperatures. The breakfast room was beautiful and so delicious; best croissants from our whole trip! Gorgeous view across the valley, especially sunrise with multiple hot air balloons dotting the horizon.
There were some bugs, especially after leaving the screenless windows open at night, but the cool, fresh air was wonderful so worth it. The parking is tricky in the walled garden so a smaller vehicle would work better.

Beautiful Place, very relaxing, nice pool, charming atmosphere, good french breakfast. Nice walking distance to Amboise (40 minutes along "Platan road") taisty dinner with glass of wine. Parking is narrow but doable and enough places for all guests

Welcomed by Veronique, the owner, with the pleasant sound of a fountain and our bikes at the ready for exploring ... in this superb Château de Nazelles, we had a wonderful time using the lovely gardens and perfect swimming pool to relax and catch-up with our international family many of whom we hadn't seen since before the Covid! Veronique let us use the tables in the garden to have 2 family dinners which we organised under the moonlight which was enchanting! There was also the service of a cafe/bar when we needed food or drinks which was useful. Lovely quiet breakfast room serving a good breakfast with organic products and homemade jams :)
I have one slight regret - that our room was not with the rest of the family, opening onto the gardens or courtyard.

The popertywas such a charming 500 year old Château. Véronique was so nice and hospitable. We loved it. The location was so convenient and close to where we needed to be. The breakfast was out of this world. Every bite was fresh and delicious, homemade and right out of the garden and organic. It was such a treat. Everything was wonderful.

very quaint, fabulous views, lovely viewing chairs over the region after a short stroll behind the property, the room was very cosy and spacious. the common lounge was wonderful. a lovely space to relax and a great library of books. lovely. would be fabulous in the warmer months if the outdoor pool was full and able to be used. looked amazing.
the towels were torn, there were x2 bars of soap. I’d rather liquid shampoo and conditioner and have come to expect body lotion, which there was none of. My bed was not well made with the under mattress protector dragged across one side of the bed and there were hairs all over it. There was an outdoor hot tub, which was hot, we discovered and would have loved to have used it as it had a glorious view overlooking the region. After a big day of walking around château’s, it would have been welcomed; and a glass of wine in hand would have been a delightful way to finish the day 😜wondered why this was not offered.
