A great hotel with lovely staff which offers fantastic value for money for Bologna

This is a very good hotel which, whilst a little bit tired around the edges, is fantastic value for money compared to other hotels in Bologna. The staff were great - very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was excellent - a fantastic range of pastries, fresh fruit, cereals, cheese, meats, etc, as well as a small selection of hot food (scrambled eggs and bacon). The fresh honey and detox drinks were also a nice touch. Room size was good, it was very clean and had windows that did an excellent job of shutting out the noise from the street plus a very nice bathroom. They were also nice and warm despite it being very cold outside.

Being honest, whilst well located for the train station, and only a 20min walk to Piazza Maggiore, it's not in a particularly nice part of the city. During the day there were no concerns, but it didn't feel particularly safe walking back to the hotel when it was dark (even when it wasn't particularly late). If staying on my own I'd probably opt for getting a taxi back in the evening.

Good value for money

Rooms are spacious and clean. They are modern but still with Italian charm. Parking is €15/24h in an open air car park just a 1minute walk up the road. Most staff are friendly and helpful

Steps from the Station, Miles Above Expectations

The location is unbeatable. From BLQ, take the Marconi Express and you’ll find yourself just a block from the property. The staff was outstanding, especially Antonio at the front desk, who was incredibly kind and accommodating. The room was excellent, with beds so comfortable it felt like sleeping on a cloud (or maybe we were just very tired!). Even the shampoo and soap were surprisingly nice... I tried to figure out the brand but couldn’t. Breakfast was also excellent, offering a wide variety of items, including fresh fruit, and catering to many tastes and dietary preferences. After returning from a concert, we were worried there wouldn’t be any food options nearby, but just around the corner, we found a great spot serving hand-tossed pizza.

We wish we could stay another day!

Hotel is beautiful and clean, staff pleasant and helpful

We had rooms on two floors. We loved the one on the fifth floor, but the hallway of the first floor smelled very strongly of body odor each time we went through. The room on the first floor was also nice and did not smell inside.

Nice hotel

Alesandro was very very helpful many times I returned to the reception with various questions and he was the only one who asked us if we were 1st time and gave us a map of the city and explained what we could see. He also helped to organize a taxi for 3 families to the airport. The rooms were clean and comfortable. The breakfast was Italian, good and tasty. Good location around 25min by walk to main town.

the older receptionists spoke better English than the younger ones which surprised me. it was hard to communicate with the younger ones I had the impression they didn't understand what was being said to them. I ordered 3 rooms for the same price but each had a different standard. Only one had a kettle with coffee and tea. One had a fridge and the other had nothing. I would expect the same standard for each room if they are the same price.

Location was good and the room was simple. We were offered a room on a rooftop outside of the building which I refused. The bed was very comfortable.ñ

Considering the cost of the room, it was quite small. There was no full length mirror. The internet was intermittent.

The hotel is in an excellent location, a short walk away from the main train station and city centre and close to all amenities. Good size room for a short stay. The staff were pleasant and efficient. The hotel also offers a free storage service for your luggage.

A slight off smell in the shower when we arrived, but soon sorted by staff once they were informed of the issue.

Pleasant hotel near the train station - best of both worlds.

Location was close to the train station, yet it was quite clean despite having such a neighbour - so + on both of those aspects, which usually contradict to each other. The room is nice, staff was very polite - everything you expect from a decent place is there.

The building is quite old, and you can hear almost everything happening behind the walls. Furniture was also quite old, even though in a perfectly fine condition. That does add up to the charm of the city, but can depend on the taste.

The size of the room, the bed, the elevator.

There was no tea, coffee or kettle in the room. No bathrobes. The staff was very unpleasant and rude, we had to go through the check in process twice, and wait for ours keys in a long queue (only one person was available at the counter at a time). The staff never apologized for the inconvenience.

The hotel is perfect .The distance to the train station is exactly 5 minutes walking ,which was very important to us and anout 20 minutes walking to the historical center of the city .The bathroom is very modern and the water perfect !!!!!!

The room was clean, the facility was pretty classy. Nice bathroom. Breakfast was decent.

The two gentleman that checked us in. They did not disclose to our group of nine that booked five different rooms that their air conditioning system for the building was broken and would not be fixed until the spring. Deceitful 100%. Went down to complain and all he could offer was for us to open the windows. It was hotter outside than in the building so that was not an option. Did not even offer a discount or a much of an apology. Would have rated this property a lot higher had that not happened. The temperature in the room was probably in the mid 80s. Woke up sweating in the middle of the night and finally opened the window, although very noisy and bugs came in, being no screens.
