A great stay and somewhere we will go back to

We had a very warm welcome from the staff and our room was warm, cosy and comfortable (we visited it January). The food in the restaurant was superb in the evening and the breakfast next morning just as good! The hotel is in a great location by the river and is convenient for the old town; there is parking for the car close by.

Nice and comfortable hotel with preserved historic building elements and good breakfast

Very nice hotel in a historic building, with preserved details like stone door frames, old staircase, and old wooden roof. Very nice view of old city walls. Comfortable bed and well equipped room. Easy entrance process even if the reception desk was closed. Good parking close to the hotel, behind the bridge. Great fresh local croissants and jams, plus very good pate served for the breakfast. Restaurant nicely positioned on the river bank.

I arrived at ca 21.30 but everything was empty - closed restaurant, no one at the reception desk. Nobody in the street, no shops, no life... How is it possible that you cannot have a glass of wine in France in the evening:(

Wonderful traditional hotel, quite well-modernised, with restaurant and bar, in a fantastic location

Charming hotel, Riverside location, good-sized, very clean room with super king sized comfortable bed. Very charming and professional Receptionist.

Bar closed until 7pm. Slow service and one of the barmen was quite surly. Our bathroom had a bath, which was great. It also had a shower over but no fixing on the wall. To shower you have to hold the shower all the time.

Location was good in a beautiful town. Hotel was comfortable and parking was secure and free.

We arrived on a Sunday. Not the hotels fault. Most amenities were closed including restaurants. Elected not to have hotel breakfast on Monday. Nothing open except for a coffee at the PMU

Authentic & stylish place to stay

Fabulous location below the ramparts within walking distance of the historic centre of Loches.Free parking is available just a couple of minutes walk away. Beautiful & authentic hotel,staff very welcoming & helpful. Breakfast served in a beautiful calm setting overlooking the river & is of excellent quality. Booked at fairly short notice but exceeded our expectations & will definitely return in the future

Ideal historical stop off travelling up through France. Effective air conditioning and great shower. As I am 1.93 metres we were given a larger room than the one allocated y Booking.com at no extra charge.

Unexpected stopover turned out surprisingly comfortable

We had to stay here for a few nights after our car broke down on the way home, and we couldn’t have wished for a better place. The team were incredibly warm and welcoming, with a truly positive and personal approach. They really pay attention to every detail, which made our unexpected stay feel extra special and comfortable. Breakfast 10/10. Highly recommended!

This is an individual and interesting hotel, with kind and with kind and professional staff, with an attractive restaurant by the river Indre.

The 'new' chef did not provide the quality of cuisine which has made the restaurant so attractive. The 'amuse bouche' did not amuse and the entree and main course, whilst well presented, lacked flavour and balance.

I’ve never been ripped off like this before by a hotel

old renovated building very cute shame about the staff and their scam

I pre booked this hotel in February with a no refund discount 105 euros. The fact is they charged me twice saying the original payment to booking.com was just to secure the room that was clearly a lie! When I showed them payment confirmation from booking.com later after I checked my app they refused to refund my card. Their charge 131 euros was a higher amount than the original advance booking. They ultimately refunded the lesser amount so I had to ask booking.com to intervene for the balance- nightmare! that was 3 weeks ago. Staff all smiles but secretly scheming to charge more. The fiinal invoice to justify second charge showed 5 pets in room charged for! We took one small cat! So might be nice looking property but with their dishonesty would advise you avoid like the plague. certainly check your booking app if they tell you to pay on arrival. makes you wonder if this is a common scam of theirs. Beware! PS check your room charge too!

The room was very nice and had a great view of the river, it was lovely to wake up to in the morning.

The elevator was a bit tricky to use - we ended up getting stuck inside and someone had to come help us. There are instructions on how to use the elevator inside but it is not instinctive and apparently people get stuck between floors quite often.

Old historic building, quirky arrangements but lovely character. Lovely restaurant area for breakfast overlooking the river.

Shame the restaurant wasn't open (Monday evening); hadn't realised the hotel would lock its doors after a certain time and hadn't realised we needed an entry code; a passer by kindly came to our rescue!
