Exceptional hotel and staff.

The staff are so helpful. Premier room with balcony overlooking the square was stunning. Beautiful bed linens and very comfortable bed. The breakfast buffet is exceptional with a huge amount of both hot dishes and cold items. A real feast! Can’t wait to return next year.

An unexpectedly grand hotel in the more unknown part of the Loire Valley.

The Hotel de la Cite Royale lived up to its name with a very grand location (tho' overlooking a carpark!) and provided lovely accommodation as would be expected. The royal city of Loches is well worth visiting and the location of this hotel and the level of accommodation make you feel as if you are one of 'the royals' on vacation there!!

Absolutely fabulous I couldnt recommend it more.

Location absolutely fantastic, right in the centre of town with an easy walk to all attractions. The Hotel is beautiful and in a recently restored historic building. The staff were lovely and very helpful. We booked two nights and ended up staying three it was so good.

Lovely stay in a lovely town

The location is outstanding, beautiful hotel, and the rooms are clean and I loved the look of them. The AC worked reasonably well and was very necessary! I found almost all the staff very friendly and helpful, particularly the lady who checked me in and worked so hard through the weekend. I also enjoyed the pool and steam room. Everything is walkable with a grocery store, boulangeries and restaurants nearby. The open market on Sunday was wonderful! And of course a short walk away is the Keep, church and lodge which are spectacular.

I wasn’t sure why my room wasn’t cleaned for three days… I think they were understaffed for the holiday. It was not a big deal as I was by myself. As soon as I brought it up they quickly sent people up to clean the room.

A very pleasant, comfortable stay, and we would highly recommend the hotel to anyone.

The hotel,is well located near the town, with good views of it from our room. Although an old building, it has been modernised beautifully. The room and bed were large and the bed was extremely comfortable. A separate toilet was good, and there is an excellent walk in shower in the bathroom. We had a balcony with two comfortable chairs, and was pleasant to sit there in the sunshine. The staff were very pleasant and helpful.

Breakfast had a good choice, but the scrambled was very tired by the time we got to it.

The tired scrambled egg. The potential difficulty of parking: we were okay because one of the reception staff moved her car for us, but without that I’ve no idea where we could have parked.

Due to an urgent family medical crisis, we were forced to change our dates. Our reasonably good value bed, breakfast and evening meal became a bed only at a very high price. No effort on the hotels part to ease the impact.

After a bad experience at another hotel, I came to this hotel in a panic. The staff looked after me so well and were so kind. They were great with my dog and helping me with some things I needed to get sorted. The hotel was spectacular and beautiful. Great location.

Over priced not good value for money.

Most of the Time Wi-Fi no existent had to use an add on orange adaptor. Receptionist g Geraldine made extra effort to make our stay enjoyable full marks to her. Thank you.

Over price and not very good food and seats on the balcony of our privileged room were unbearably uncomfortable and it would be so easy to put a basic sun lounger to armchair there.

Higher end property in a city full of medieval/renaissance history

A modern room in and old building. The facilities were fine and the air conditioning worked well. There is free public parking in front of the building. The restaurant and bar lounge were very good and the outdoor patio, once the sun moved away, was very relaxing. It's location is at the edge of the old city making it very convenient for touristing.

Staff were very helpful, and following the change of room upon arrival due to a mishap with thier booking system due to a very bad storm, we were upgraded to a better room at no extra cost for the rest of the stay. The public car park infront of the hotel is very convenient, at no cost. The Hotel restaurant is also very recommendable. Although very sceptical about Loches before going there, we were very happy we chose this location, very well located close to Chenonceau and Amboise,

A very comfortable stay.

The location to the town was excellent. The room was lovely and the bed very comfortable. We didn’t have breakfast so can’t comment on that. I would definitely stay there again. It was a beautiful building. And a large free car park outside the hotel. Dog friendly, and she got a little treat from reception.

There was nothing I didn’t like.
