Stunningly decorated rooms, very spacious, and gorgeous breakfast with produce prepared by the very welcoming host.

A beautiful home in a lovely small city. We loved the peace and friendliness of the place.

La Cloiserie is situated in the centre of Loches in close proximity to all the historic buildings. It is an old building beautifully restored with the added benefits of the guest rooms overlooking an inner courtyard and therefore protected from any street noise; and it has a garden which is available to guests. Our host was solicitous (there are no "staff") and anxious to ensure that we enjoyed all the benefits of a stay in Loches.

Wonderful, memorable stay in a beautiful historic building, filled with charm!

What a find! We had a fabulous one night stay here, which we booked due to its proximity to the Beauval Zoo. The building was stunning, beautifully and thoughtfully furnished. Unfortunately we had just the one night, as it really was a special place to stay. The bed was so comfortable, with lovely linen. Breakfast was served in a beautiful dining room with wonderful crockery, and the food was all homemade, including the jams and honey. I really would recommend staying here - it will enhance whatever trip you are on and will be much more memorable than a generic hotel. The town of Loches was wonderful too and we had a brilliant dinner, which was booked by our host last minute as we hadn't realised it was a bank holiday. You will not regret staying here, and I guarantee you will leave and tell people how wonderful it was... we did! I couldn't recommend this place enough. If we are ever passing through again, I would definitely book here.

Beautifully decorated rooms. The warmest of welcomes by Jean-Luc when we arrived on bikes on a super hot day, even offering to do our washing. Breakfast was fabulous on the terrace, with all local products and Jerome’s homemade treats. A very special place to stay.

This charming establishment, with its impeccable service and exceptional host Jerome, left an indelible mark on my journey. From the moment we arrived, Jerome's warm hospitality enveloped us. His genuine dedication to making us feel welcome was evident in every detail, and even his adorable dog added a delightful touch to the atmosphere. Breakfast was a true culinary delight. Jerome's personal touch was evident as he prepared everything himself, from the delectable cakes to the creamy yogurt. The coffee, deserving of a 5-star rating, perfectly complemented the morning spread. Our room was a regal haven fit for royalty. The decor exuded an air of old-world elegance and sophistication, reminiscent of aristocratic opulence. The level of service was second to none. Our room was consistently impeccable, with fresh water and meticulous cleanliness always maintained. Jerome, your efforts truly made us feel at home outside of home. Your unwavering commitment to guest satisfaction and the exceptional experience you curated for us made our stay unforgettable. Truly unique - highly recommended.

We have stayed here before and it is quite exceptional. Jean-Luc and Jerome are really welcoming and could not have been more helpful. The rooms are very spacious and very comfortable. The decor is unique and quite remarkable. Amazing breakfasts with a lot of home cooked dishes. We would definitely stay here again.

The perfect choice for a stay in Loches

We loved everything about La Closerie St-Jacques! Our suite was decorated beautifully - a wonderfully tasteful mix of old and new, with a large and cosy bed, a separate dressing area, and a modern shower room. Jean-Luc and Jérôme are superb hosts - warm, welcoming, and incredibly helpful (even going so far as to book restaurants in advance and a taxi for a wedding we were attending). The breakfasts were a real treat - freshly served and different each morning (including fruit, homemade yoghurts and tarts, honey, jam, crepes…). Every last detail had been thought about, and it was clear that a lot of care and attention has been put into the decoration and service. An exceptional stay all round.

Such a beautiful property and an ideal location right in the centre of Loches but also very quiet - we sat in the garden in the sunshine enjoying some wine and you could have been in the middle of the countryside it was so peaceful. Jean Luc was so helpful in recommendations and even phoned a couple bicycle rental places for us. The breakfast was superb, all homemade with some real treats! Highly recommend this delightful historic Bed & Breakfast.

Breakfast was excellent and in a comfortable location. Our host was kind attentive and charming.

The decor was overpowering and was a complication that I would describe as a triumph of style over practicality. The hand basin had a mirror over, where my wife could use a hair-dryer, which was so inefficiently lit to be almost impossible to use, 'precious' vases had to be moved out of the way to avoid damage. I hope not to offend a charming host by describing his chambre d'hote as cluttered.

Jean-Luc is a welcoming and charming host, we had a choice of rooms which were beautifully appointed, the bed was extremely comfortable. We were invited for a complimentary digestive in the library when we returned from dinner in the evening and the freshly prepared breakfast was delicious, consisting of freshly squeezed oranges, home made yoghurt and conserves, fresh fruit salad, warm crepes and fresh bread.

Our stay surpassed all our expectations. The beautiful and ecclectic rooms, the chique library and living room that were at our disposal, the delicious breakfast with every morning different homemade delicacies next to a burning fireplace, the delightful garden with flowers and lounge chairs facing the ancient city walls, the fresh cup of tea the owner served us at the library as as soon as we came back from dinner, there was no limit to the hospitality. We will certainly come back. Highly recommended!

A beautiful and charming place with friendly and helpful hosts who made us feel at home.

This is a fantastic old coaching inn which has been beautifully restored by the owners. The bedroom was wonderful and atmospheric with a very comfortable bed. The breakfast was excellent with home made yoghurt, jams and cake and good coffee. The owner could not have been more helpful and friendly, even booking us a room at a local restaurant and taking us there as it was a little hard to find. I would stay there again without a doubt and have already recommended it to friends.

Très belle chambre d'hôte dans une superbe maison au cœur de loches, au pied de la citadelle royale. Accueil attentif et très bon petit déjeuner avec des produits faits maison. La chambre est vaste, calme, intime et on sent que cette maison a une âme loin des lieux standardisés. Détail pratique, le stationnement à proximité est très facile ! Fantastisk hus med smukt indrettede værelser med historisk charme. Dejlig have med liggestole mm. Meget venlig vært, der gjorde sit yderste, for at vi skulle have det godt. Lækker morgenmad med frisk frugt, hjemmelavet yoghurt, hjemmelavede marmelader, frugttærte mm. Serveret af værten med stor opmærksomhed.

Det eneste der ærgede mig var, at vi kun havde booket en overnatning.
