Hotel is the middle of a sex district

Friendly owner, charming decor inside apartment.

I found out only after I arrived that this hotel is right in the middle of a sex district. The owner and another Hamburg resident I talked to said the Reeperbahn district is perfectly safe. That may be so, but I didn't enjoy walking past the sex shops and the homeless people asleep on the street every morning and when I returned from my exhibition in the evenings. On two nights, I saw a pair of police officers on the street talking to people. Among other problems was that the apartment was hot had not even a fan. I asked the owner for a fan one morning and, at first, he refused, saying nothing could be done about the climate. I had to stew about this response all day. When I arrived back to the room in the evening, there was a small fan there, but not really enough to keep me cool. Also, the TV channels had no English programs--even the programs originally in English were dubbed in German. Finally, the one thing I really liked was the coffeemaker, but it didn't work for most of my stay.

Eccentric and true to the neighborhood.

Once you are inside, the place was eccentric. It is definitely not a chain hotel. But, it has it's own vibe and oddness. We like to support local hotels and reading past reviews, we were fine with it.

It is a little difficult to get in. The hotel is basically in an apartment building. We arrived and saw the sign, but the entrance is locked. The door had all the tenants' door bells. Rony's was below all the buttons (See attached pic). Press the button and he will arrive in a few minutes. But, there is no signal or speaker letting you know he is coming. I called the number as he was showing up. So, definitely, if possible, update your arrival time on the website. It will help him out to prepare for your arrival. Other than that, Rony was a great guy and very accommodating.

A fun and unusual hotel! Definitely an unforgettable experience

The decoration was very fun and creative. Ronny was a friendly and obliging host, and the lounge was very welcoming.

The room was somewhat cramped, with just enough room for the bed. Same for the bathroom.

Pleasant

It is very unique and great if you're planning on partying for a while around the Reeperbahn. Next to all the bars and clubs.

The owner is a bit specific/special. I understand he wanted us to know all the details about the stay but after a long day of traveling you arent really in the mood for a lecture. Besides that all good.

A hidden treasure in the heart of the Reeperbahn

Chez Ronny has clearly exceeded our expectations. An understatement from the outside, but totally showing off once you are inside one of the rooms and also discover the bar area (ours was on the second floor). An interior design with amazing attention to detail. We loved that place and would totally recommend staying there when visiting the beautiful city of Hamburg.

Ronny is the greatest!

Ronny was so helpful from the minute we arrived, he explained how everything worked made sure we understood. We will never stay anywhere else now when we return to Hamburg. The room is wonderful and in a great location and there is a great bar inside. We had an excellent weekend and Ronny made it even better.

There was nothing about Chez Ronny that we didnt like.

Great location, room and host!

Ronny was very nice and welcoming. He took the time to explain to us how everything works, it was very clear! The location is great and the flat was very comfortable. We really liked the balcony as well as the little bar we were able to use before going out.

Well Located And Hospitable Place To Stay in St. Pauli

The room was perfectly comfortable for my stay. Ronny's hospitality was great. The location was convenient and in a buzzing area, and I was able to get around all of Hamburg easily. Really enjoyed my time there.

There was a tiny bit of bass/music noise in the area, and the room was a little too warm, but really no major issues.

Really enjoyable with an affordable price.

It was in a very good locations and the owner was really nice. I think the intro can be cut off a little like showing the rooms or whatever. Showing off on how to turn of the lights and so on were good informations. Recommandable.

Actually I liked everything. The water was the only thing I didn't like because it was sparkling water and not regular.
