In all honesty the worst hotel I've ever been in in my entire life.

The hotelier is a kind person. I truly believe he means well and that he deserves a better situation for himself. It does appear, howewer, that he is out of his element and over his head and needs help with the maintenance of his establishment.

More than we expected. When we entered, the carpet had a thick layer of grease and dirt in it, suggesting it has never been cleaned since it has been installed. While walking up the stairs to our room, we noticed quite a few stains and discoloration on top of the layer of dirt. When we entered the hotelroom, the window was open (in mid-winter), and the room reeked of cigarette smoke to such a degree it made us nauseous. Already disappointed, we were yet to experience more: next to the television, we noticed a mural of splatter and drip of liquid that resembled at best, alcoholic drinks and at worst, bodily fluids. We noticed the same next to the night stand. At the desk, the chair was functionally falling apart and the bed was partially broken. The paint peeled from the ceiling and the lampshade drooped sadly from its stand. The marks on the walls look like a physical struggle took place. In short, it looked like an abandoned crime scene. The area outside is filled with drunks, a few of them in such hazardous stages of intoxication, that store owners refuse to sell bottled drinks at night due to the safety hazard. The square in front of the hotel has a platoon of police officers, struggling to contain the situation. All in all a horrible experience.

The history and architecture was a highlight especially the Hamburg Rathaus (the Townhall)

The room was perfect for the two nights I was in Hamburg, very close to metro and nice distance for walking to the harbour 😁

St. Pauli is an interesting district of Hamburg being the red light area, which could be off putting for some but interesting for others 😉

Location is not safe. We were there only two nights and one night came police at 2am because somebody was very loud and it was scary.

Comfortable Stay

I stayed two nights at Heimat St. Pauli and had a smooth experience. The hotel is located right in the heart of St. Pauli, very close to the metro and perfect for exploring the neighborhood. The room was large, clean, and comfortable. Check-in and check-out were self-service, you check in at the bar on the ground floor and drop the key in a box when you leave. There’s no reception staff, but everything was clearly explained and easy to manage.

Decent price, loud music

For the price, it is a decent room. Minimalistic, but you have a private bathroom and the place is at a great location.

Loud music until 3AM. With all windows closed, earplugs I could not sleep from the music from the bar under the hotel. It was a Thursday night. I think the hotel managers should discuss this with the bar, or at least warn their customers.

In the middle of the action, reasonably priced , basic base

Very central for us , almost on the Reeperbahn, so easy distance to our festival and bars, restaurants. Parking at the premises 15 euro per day, the hotel itself was very quiet. Friendly staff

WiFi signal can be better , surrounding streets are depressing, prostitutes, homeless people and stag parties.. but you know when you do yr homework. Room was ok, some maintenance needed. For us not an issue but , if you want the room cleaned, you will hv to ask by sms, reception is only opened a few hrs per day

Very close to the harbour.

Very dirty, even disgusting, room service only upon request. Very loudly all night long. No reception!! The property has definitely no hotel status, this is just a room without any service. Disappointed.

Great location in st Pauli

Great value for money. Comfortable bed.it was quiet when we were there. Good location for exploring Hamburg. Most attractions can be done on foot. Very friendly owner/staff. Parking available.

The area of st Pauli is a bit like Soho. No shortage of strip clubs and more if that's your cup of tea.

For a hotel at the reeperbahn I guess its ok, but better pay 30 euros more and go to a nice hotel

Size of the room was super big, the staff was nice and the location is great!

When we arrived the bed wasn’t clean so we had to ask the cleaner to change the bedsheets. The shower curtain was broke and I asked for 1 double bed but we got 2 single bed pushed together and if I went in the middle of the bed it was really uncomfortable.. my back hurts from it to be honest.

Employees of hotel was friendly and understandable. Bed was comfortable. Location was close to everywhere. You dont have to use public transportation or taxi you can go every turist attractions by walking. Room quality satisfied.

When i tried to reach reception in my check out day nobody answer me, also i mailed and texted but i couldn t get reply. Also hotel reception work hours very limited 15.00 pm to 21.00 pm consider otherwise no body in reception. Bathroom looks fine but smeels not good. Also bathroom needs a glass cabin. Curtain one is looks terrible and dirty. You dont want to walk around late times because drunk and addicted people feels you not comfortable.
