The history of the hotel being a boys school and the first girls school, the history of the building was intact despite modernizing as a hotel. Superb location, gorgeous courtyard garden, and excellent recommendations from the host for restaurants depending on your budget.

Our baggage was in our rooms and the rooms were super cool with air condition and a private terrace to sit. After a tiring day this was a great pleasant surprise especially in the heatwave. The hotel was next to Chateau Azay, great restaurants, and was a perfect location. Very good help with the taxi and recommending restaurants. The breakfast was with local ingredients. Great place to lock our bicycles.
Wish the breakfast had a few more items as it was a bit too limited.

Lovely old building in the centre of Azay le Rideau very close to the chateau, with lots of restaurants near by. Charming courtyard garden where you can have breakfast. Air conditioning was very welcome in the hot weather. The proprietors were charming and helpful.
