Excellent location in a lovely historic town. Tomas and Léa were excellent hosts, very charming and very helpful with anything we needed. The bedroom, with spacious bathroom was across the courtyard and very cool considering the outside heat ! The breakfast choice was super, of great quality and all locally sourced too.

Very central location. Beautiful old property. Central quiet courtyard with seating area. Very attentive and helpful staff with lots of recommendations for dinner etc. comfortable quiet rooms with aircon if needed. Good shower. Great breakfast. Would definitely stay here again in Azay le Rideau.

A charming, historic place in the heart of Azay-le-Rideau

What a special and charming place! Hôtel de Biencourt is perfectly located just steps away from the stunning Château d’Azay-le-Rideau, with plenty of excellent restaurants and lovely shops just a stone’s throw away. The hotel itself is full of character and warmth, offering both comfort and charm in equal measure. The receptionist and owner were very welcoming and accommodating—they truly went out of their way to make us feel at home and clearly enjoyed playing and interacting with my little girls. We would love to return!

I would have appreciated a bit more variety at breakfast, but overall, it was a truly delightful stay.

Good location in centre of town and our room on the ground floor was very comfortable with a little private terrace. Although breakfast consisted of all local products, which was admirable, we felt it could have been better….. Reception staff in particular were really helpful with local knowledge etc.

We weren’t very keen on the house rule of no food or drink from outside under any circumstances. Rather difficult with certain health problems.

Outstanding hotel when in this part of France!

This is another place that rates quite high for my family, with 30 years of experience of traveling to Europe! The owner is phenomenal and warmly welcomed us when we arrived. As it was before our room was ready, we could leave our luggage at the property. Communication prior to arrival was excellent. The facilities, including our beautiful room and bathroom, are great. The breakfast room has plenty of options. The exterior courtyard was peaceful and charming. The location of the hotel is perfect, being a 1 minute walk to Chateau d'Azay-le-Rideau. The small village is serene and easy to explore during a short evening walk. We parked (2 nights) at the free spots in "Parking de La Passerelle", about 5 minutes away. There might be free overnight parking a bit closer at L'ilot d'Azay, but ask beforehand if it is free and legal. Definitely make Hotel de Biencourt your choice when in this part of France. You will not regret it!

True “campagne” feeling

The location in the middle of the small village of Azay Le Rideau and close to the chateau is great. The staff, Thomas, Elisa and others are very helpful booking the restaurant for us and assisting. Their breakfast is very complete and a nice set-up. Restaurants nearby are charming. I had a tea break in the afternoon with my son at Biscuithé and it was awesome.
